Melissa McCarthy is having a real style moment.
She’s currently on red carpets around the world for premieres of her new film Spy, and always looking amazing while doing so.
It’s just as well, since McCarthy, 44, is launching her own fashion line, Melissa McCarthy Seven7, which will come in US sizes 4 to 28.
The actress says she’s perfectly placed to create the line, because she knows what’s missing in the market – it’s the stuff that she can’t find.
“I can’t buy it because it’s not out there,” she told More magazine.
“People don’t stop at size 12. I feel like there’s a big thing missing where you can’t dress to your mood above a certain number.” Amen, McCarthy!
The decision to create the line could also be a massive f*** you to all the designers who refused to dress her for red carpet events because of her size.

McCarthy doesn’t want any plus-size tags attached to her line, either. What she wants is for women of all sizes to be able to shop for the same things, in the same place.
“[Malls] segregate plus-size [women]. It’s an odd thing that you can’t go shopping with your friends because your store is upstairs hidden by the tire section. We’ll put you gals over there because we don’t want to see you and you probably don’t want to be seen.”
McCarthy, who first broke out as the Sookie St James on Gilmore Girls and then hit the big-time in Bridesmaids with Kristen Wiig and Rose Byrne, has no interest in trying to achieve physical perfection because frankly, why waste the time?
