Mel Gibson has become a father for the ninth time, welcoming a baby boy into the world with girlfriend of two years, writer Rosalind Ross.

According to People Magazine, Lars Gerard Gibson was born on Friday, January 20, weighing in at 5 lbs. 5 oz. 

A source close to the Hacksaw Ridge director told the publication: “They’re thrilled and Lars is adorable. Their family is all around them and Mel is over the moon. They’re home and everybody is healthy and happy!”

The actor also has seven children with ex-wife Robyn Moore: Hannah, 36, twin boys Christian and Edward, 34, William, 31, Louis, 28, Milo, 26, and Thomas, 17.

With former girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva, he has six-year-old daughter Lucia.

Gibson is 61 years old, while Rosalind is a decade younger than his eldest child, at 26.
