When Meghan Markle officially became a royal after her wedding to Prince Harry, she was given her very own official bio on the royal family’s official website.
The page listed some of her achievements as a “proud feminist”, noting the 36-year-old’s passion for social justice began at age 11 before she went onto volunteer in a soup kitchen.
“Aged 11 she successfully campaigned for a company to alter their television advert that had used sexist language to sell washing-up liquid. Her Royal Highness also volunteered at a soup kitchen in Skid Row, Los Angeles from the age of 13-17. She continued to volunteer at the soup kitchen when she would return home to Los Angeles until the age of 22.”
There was just one curious thing missing from this bio: her career.
Her 15-year acting career was treated as more of a side-hustle, having been given only a very brief mention when drawing on her volunteer work while she was “filming in Toronto”. It was only when you clicked on a second sub-category page that her Suits work was acknowledged
Naturally, the people of the internet noticed the… oversight.
I’m so very much in love with Meghan Markle bio on the royal website, BUT WHERE IS HER SUITS AND DEAL OR NO DEAL CAREER ???? https://t.co/eSAMj16wC0
