Just because Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s wedding was one of the most watched and intricately planned ceremonies of the year, doesn’t mean it was immune from a last minute hiccup.
Family dramas aside, in a series of interviews recorded for ‘A Royal Wedding: The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’ , an exhibit currently on display at Windsor Castle, the couple shared one detail that didn’t go according to plan, and it has to do with Meghan’s bouquet.
Right after the royal wedding, Kensington Palace announced that Harry personally picked the forget-me-nots that Meghan held on her wedding day – flowers that were reportedly Princess Diana’s favourite.
“We have a very small garden here that we had been planting things in the fall for and what was really special, I think, was that the morning of the wedding Harry went in and he picked some flowers to go into my bouquet, which was really beautiful and something that makes it sentimental and really meaningful,” says Meghan in one of the interviews, as described by Vanity Fair.
