Meghan and Harry left the royal family for their kids. This is Archie and Lilibet's life now.

Meghan Markle is stepping back into the spotlight with her highly anticipated new Netflix series With Love, Meghan.

The lifestyle show, which Netflix describes as "reimagining the genre of lifestyle programming," features the Duchess sharing personal tips for entertaining, cooking, and gardening, while hosting famous friends including Mindy Kaling, Roy Choi, and Alice Waters at her Montecito home.

"I've always loved taking something pretty ordinary and elevating it," Meghan said in the trailer. "Surprising people with moments that let them know I was really thinking of them."

While filming doesn't take place in her *actual* home, the series is filled with references to her sweet family. .

The Sussex children do still hold royal titles, but they live a decidedly un-royal life in California. Harry and Meghan seem determined to give their kids the normal childhood that Harry never had.

Largely kept out of the spotlight, we've seen just a few glimpses of the Sussex children over the years.

Here, what we know about their life State-side.

Harry and Meghan welcomed their first child together, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, on May 6, 2019, in London. Now proudly known as Prince Archie of Sussex, Archie has been stealing hearts ever since his debut.

"He has the sweetest temperament," Meghan shared of her son. "He's really calm."

In 2020, Prince Harry and Meghan made move to California, swapping Buckingham Palace for sunny beaches and avocado toast.

This relocation wasn't just about chasing sunnier skies… it was a strategic play to give Archie a more grounded and private upbringing, away from the relentless tabloid frenzy that shadows royal lives.

In 2021, Harry opened up about stepping away from his royal duties. He called it a heartfelt decision, inspired by watching his mum raise her children in the glare of the spotlight.

"I have no doubt that my mum would be incredibly proud of me. I'm living the life that she wanted to live for herself, living the life that she wanted us to be able to live," Harry said in his docuseries The Me You Can't See.

"So not only do I know that she's incredibly proud of me, but that she's helped me get here. And I've never felt her presence more as I have done over the last year."

Archie is now 5-years old and while Meghan and Harry have remained fairly private when it comes to images of their son, he did appear in their 2022 Netflix documentary, Harry & Meghan, where we saw a bunch of never-before-seen photos and videos.

That same year, Meghan said that the young royal loved the TV series Octonauts, as well as throwback shows like The Magic School Bus.

"He thinks it's great, so that's been pretty fun to see it again through his eyes," she told Variety.

Meghan has also spoken about how the family like to go on walks, with Archie enjoying life by the beach and in nature. They often feed their chickens and play on the backyard swing.

"The highlight for me is sticking him on the back of the bicycle in his little baby seat and taking him on these bike rides, which is something I was never able to do when I was young," Prince Harry told Oprah.

"I can see him on the back and he's got his arms out and he's going 'Woooo!' Chatting, chatting, chatting, and he's going, Palm tree! house!' and all this stuff," he added.

He recently featured in Meghan's Netflix show, his red-brown, curly hair was clearly on display, as he played the piano in a little navy hoodie.

Princess Lilibet of Sussex.

Harry and Meghan welcomed their daughter and second child Lilibet "Lili" Diana Mountbatten Windsor, into the world on June 4, 2021, in sunny Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, California.

Now known as Princess Lilibet of Sussex, Lili's name carries a deeply sentimental meaning. The Sussex couple chose "Lilibet" as a loving nod to Queen Elizabeth II's cherished childhood nickname, highlighting the special bond Harry shared with the Queen before her passing in 2022.

The couple announced the arrival of their daughter on the Archewell Foundation website.

"On June 4th, we were blessed with the arrival of our daughter, Lili," they wrote.

"She is more than we could have ever imagined, and we remain grateful for the love and prayers we've felt from across the globe. Thank you for your continued kindness and support during this very special time for our family."

Much like her brother Archie, Lilibet's on-screen and on-camera appearances are few and far between.

The last full photo we had of Lilibet was on her 1st birthday, where she was pictured with adorable red hair like her dad, in a little blue dress.

However, in 2022, Lilibet also featured in Harry & Meghan, where we learnt that her godfather is none other than director and actor Tyler Perry.

"The kids are doing great. The kids are growing up like all kids do, very, very fast. They've both got an incredible sense of humour and make us laugh and keep us grounded every single day, like most kids do. I'm just grateful to be a dad," Prince Harry told Good Morning America in February 2024.

In 2025, Meghan Markle gave us a delightful peek into Sussex family life on her Instagram stories. The Duchess shared an adorable video of herself and little Lili, who is nearly 4, whipping up festive bagels topped with heart-shaped strawberries to celebrate Valentine's Day.

Lilibet also made an appearance on the advertising for her mother's new brand, As Ever. She was pictured running through a field in a little white dress, her curly strawberry blonde hair flowing in the wind behind her.
