Thomas Markle has written an open letter to his sister asking for just one thing.

Thomas Markle Jr. has penned yet another letter to his half-sister Meghan Markle.

But unlike his previous letter, the 51-year-old isn’t asking Prince Harry to call off the royal wedding. This time, he’s begging Meghan for a last-minute invite.

In a letter addressed to Prince Harry in April, Meghan’s estranged half-brother called on Prince Harry to cancel the wedding, claiming Meghan is “obviously not the right woman for you” and that marrying her would be “the biggest mistake in royal wedding history”.

He also went on to call his sister a “jaded, shallow, conceited woman that will make a joke of you and the royal family heritage”.

“Not to mention, to top it all off, she doesn’t invite her own family and instead invites complete strangers to the wedding. Who does that?” he said.

Now, with royal wedding invites dispatched and not one in his letter box, Thomas Markle Jr has changed his mind, scrambling to snag a last minute invite by trying to make amends in his latest letter.

He wrote: “Meg I know that I’m not perfect, nor is anyone else in our family, as I’m sure you have read by now. But good, bad, or perfect, we’re the only family that you have.

“I’m sorry for venting my frustrations about [how] he should call it off, but I was disappointed and confused about not getting invited… I really only wish you the best.”

He even mentioned the importance of having family at such an important event – and this is coming from someone who branded the event “the biggest mistake in royal wedding history”.

“It does hurt my feelings not getting invited to your wedding, along with the rest of the family. But it’s not too late to send me an invite along with your entire family.

“We should all be there to show our love and support on your wedding day because that’s what families do. Not to mention, how long it’s been since we all seen and have gotten together, that would be very nice.”

We’re not too sure their family reunion would go down quite as smoothly as Thomas imagines.

He finished the letter writing: “I remember a loving, caring, amazing girl who had a great family growing up and I know you’re still that person inside.

“It can still be a royal wedding family reunion.”

In an interview with The Mirror in April, Thomas Markle Jr said Meghan had 'torn his entire family apart'.

"She's clearly forgotten her roots," he said.

In an interview with Melissa Doyle on Channel 7's Sunday Night, Thomas Markle Jr gave more insight into their "fractured family", saying he wasn't aware he and his half-sister had ever had a falling out.

“I didn’t even know that we had a falling-out, so I would like to see her again. I want to give her a hug and tell her how proud I am of her, but, you know, I really have to travel a really long way to do that.”

“She’s probably embarrassed at some of the stories and accusations," he said referring to stories in the media about the Markle family.

“I think now, more than ever, it should be the time for everybody to put their differences aside and just be a family. We have a small family. It may be broken up, but it’s still a family.”
