Megan Fox was 'blindsided' by her split from Machine Gun Kelly. He just shared a cryptic message.

Machine Gun Kelly is excited to become a dad again, despite Megan Fox reportedly being "done" with her ex-fiancé "for good".

In December, it was announced that the couple had ended their on-again-off-again romance, just weeks after sharing that they were expecting.

In February 2025, the rapper made a rare comment about his and Fox's unborn child, as they prepare to welcome their first baby (coming very soon).

While attending a church service over the weekend, the rapper shared a cryptic message about the future, saying, "Your past is not your purpose — your priority is ahead of you", according to Page Six.

In the now-expired Instagram story, he told his followers that "church was right on time today," before writing, "can't wait" with a baby bottle emoji and a man holding a little one in his arms.

It's the second time MGK has publicly spoken about the former couple's baby, since Fox debuted her bump in November.

Fox and MGK reportedly ended things over Thanksgiving weekend while in Vail, Colorado after Fox found "upsetting" material on MGK's phone that made them leave the trip early.

Sources close to the couple spoke to People, claiming that Fox was "blindsided" by the split and has "been distraught" ever since. Given Fox is currently pregnant, even amidst the breakup, her focus has been on the baby.

"The baby is due soon and Megan is trying to focus on that," the source said.

"It's her priority."

In November, Fox announced that the couple were expecting their first child together… in the most Megan Fox way possible. The Transformers star shared a photo of her cradling her bump while covered in black oil and tagged Kelly, confirming he's the father.

"Nothing is ever really lost. Welcome back," she wrote with a baby and heart emoji, referencing the couple's earlier pregnancy loss.

Two weeks later, MGK posted on X (formerly Twitter) saying, "Isolating myself in the desert next week to restart this album from scratch. When inspiration flows through me unblocked, we will reach the destination in no time. Don't worry."

"After all," he concluded, "I'm about to be a dad again!"

The baby will be Fox's fourth child and MGK's second and is reportedly due in March.

The couple's relationship hasn't always been smooth sailing, but they seem to keep finding their way back to each other, so who knows if this will really be the end for the pair.

In fact, People reported a source shared that the couple's relationship has "always been bumpy" due to their conflicting personalities. However, they love each other very much and a reconciliation could be on the horizon.

"They will very likely get back together," said the source. "They've split in the past and then worked things out."

Only this time Fox doesn't seem so sure…

A source told US Weekly that Fox is "done for good". The actress has been "taking space apart from MGK" as her due date approaches and "it's been beneficial".

Although the rocker reportedly "wants to get back together," Fox "doesn't want to be in a relationship with him," an insider told the outlet. Despite this, she "wants him to be a part of their child's life".

Reps for the couple are yet to comment on the split.

How did Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly meet?

Fox and Kelly, whose real name is Colson Baker, first crossed paths in March 2020 on the set of the film Midnight in the Switchgrass. 

Their connection was immediate; Fox later revealed that she felt a strong attraction to Kelly right from their first meeting. Interestingly, Kelly has admitted that he accepted the role in the film primarily because it meant he would be working alongside Fox. 

During a lunch break on set, Kelly shared his feelings of being "lost," to which Fox responded, "Let's find you," marking the beginning of their intense relationship.

The day after actor Brian Austin Green announced he and Fox's split in May 2020, the actress appeared in the music video for Kelly's single 'Bloody Valentine' and kissed him.

By June, their relationship was official. Fox referred to Kelly as her "twin flame" during an interview in July, showcasing the couple's deep connection.

What is the age difference between Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly?

Fox is four years older than Kelly. The actress is currently 38 years old while Kelly is 34. 

This age difference has drawn some scrutiny, but Fox has rightly been vocal about dismissing these judgements as rooted in outdated patriarchal views. 

In an interview, she pointed out that while she faced backlash for dating a younger man, similar relationships involving older men and younger women often go unnoticed or uncriticised.

Fox told InStyle, "You want to talk about patriarchy? The fact that he's four years younger than me, and people want to act like I'm dating a younger man... Four years? Go f*** yourself".

After a year of public outings, red carpet appearances and proclaiming their love for one another, Kelly proposed to Fox on January 11, 2022.

"Unaware of the work and sacrifices the relationship would require from us, but intoxicated off of the love. And the karma," she continued.

What is Megan Fox's engagement ring like?

Kelly designed a unique engagement ring for Fox that reflects both their personalities and their intense love story. The ring features a Colombian emerald (Fox's birthstone) and a diamond (Kelly's birthstone), set on two magnetic bands that can come apart to form two separate rings, symbolising their bond as two halves of one soul.

In an intriguing twist, the bands of the ring are adorned with thorns, which means Fox will be caused pain if she tries to remove them — a metaphorical representation of how love can sometimes hurt.

An insider later told People the couple were "still not in a good place."

"She's now posted that there was no cheating, but she initially thought there was and now is backtracking a bit," the source said. "She was definitely hinting at infidelity with her first post. She regrets making it all so public, but was really upset in the moment."

"Their relationship is crazy and intense," the source continued, adding, "Yet it wouldn't be shocking if they were back together completely by the end of the week."

By May 2023, they were back posing together on the red carpet. However, a source told People at the time, Fox "still seems hesitant" to plan the wedding.

As of 2025, the couple have split yet again. They reportedly called it quits on Thanksgiving weekend and while MGK is reportedly keen to try again, Fox has had enough.

"They don't talk at great lengths but have exchanged a few texts," a source told US Weekly this month. The actress is taking space to "heal" and wants to protect her peace and focus on the bub.

Has Megan Fox been married before?

Fox was previously married to actor Brian Austin Green.

They began dating in 2004 after meeting on the set of Hope and Faith. Fox was just 18 years old, while Green was 30 and a father to a two-year-old son, with his former Beverly Hills, 90210 cast mate, Vanessa Marcil.

Speaking to ELLE in 2009, Fox recounted her initial attraction to Green, saying, "I was like, 'Oh my God, I have to be with you. You're not a threat, you're not some d-bag that's going to cause a lot of problems.'"

Kelly has one daughter named Casie Colson Baker, born on July 24, 2009. She is his only child from his previous relationship with Cannon.

Casie has been featured on social media and has accompanied her father to various public events, showcasing their close bond. As of now, she is 15 years old and has even contributed to her father's music projects.

Do Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly have kids?

Fox and Kelly do not have children together yet, but they are expecting their first. 

The actress broke the news on her Instagram in November 2024, sharing a photo of her covered head-to-toe in black oil and cradling her bump — a look only she could rock.

Fox tagged Kelly, confirming he is the father, and posted another image of her showing a positive pregnancy test to the camera.

MGK had previously hinted he and Fox experienced a pregnancy loss when he performed at the Billboard Music Awards in 2022, dedicating the song 'Twin Flame' to Fox and their "unborn child".

Fox confirmed the personal loss in November 2023 when she released her poetry book, Pretty Boys Are Poisonous.

"I want to hold your hand / hear your laugh," she wrote. "But now / I have to say / goodbye."

"I had never been through anything like that before in my life," she told Good Morning America.

"I have three kids, so it was very difficult for both of us, and it sent us on a very wild journey together and separately and together and apart … trying to navigate, 'What does this mean?' and 'Why did this happen?'"

Speaking to WWD, the Transformers star said the experience was "so much harder" than she would have anticipated, despite having an ectopic pregnancy when she was younger.

"That love element really made this miscarriage really tragic for me and left me with a lot of grief and a lot of suffering," she said.

A source told People in November the couple was "very excited" about their pregnancy and "can't stop talking about the baby".
