Loved-up Blockheads have tied the knot on the show.
The Block’s Max, 25, and Karstan, 27, have talked about surprise wedding plans before, revealing that they were due to marry in December in a “lucky dip” style wedding. But it appears the pair have been hiding a big secret, they actually tied the knot just after they finished their apartment on the show.
The Newcastle couple moved their wedding plans forward after they received news that they would appear on The Block Glasshouse, with producers on the show assisting in the planning of their “surprise wedding”.
The pair who married beach-side in Melbourne’s St Kilda, only had a few requests for the day while the rest of the details were left up to the show’s production team.
Max told Woman’s Day, “I picked my dress, a Jane Hill design I’ve been obsessed with for years, and I wanted my girls and family here. And by having the wedding here in Melbourne we get to invite our new friends from the show, the other contestants, our builders and tradies, too.”
Max and Karstan got ready for their big day in the Glasshouse apartment, with Karstan explaining he was thrilled to be marrying, “the most drop-dead gorgeous girl in the world.”
Karstan went on to say, “I have no nerves about marrying Max – that will be easy. It’s something we were always going to do. We’re just doing it on TV, which is such an incredible opportunity. It will be so much fun having all our new tradie mates there and the other contestants and our families – truly unforgettable. Probably the only thing I do worry about is that I’ll see her in her wedding dress and she’ll look so beautiful and I’ll be so happy I’ll cry.”
