Matty J and Laura Byrne have welcomed their third baby.

Matty J and Laura Byrne have just welcomed their third baby together — an adorable little girl.

The couple shared the news on Instagram with a short, but definitely very, very sweet post.

"Third time really is a charm. Our sweet little Poppy girl is here and we are all utterly obsessed with every inch of you," the couple wrote.

"Poppy Pearl Johnson welcome to the world precious one."

Back in May, the couple opened up about the joyful news on Stellar's Something To Talk About podcast, with Matty saying: "We are absolutely excited and we cannot wait to meet this little girl, Poppy."

But their path to becoming a family of five hasn't always been smooth sailing.

The couple have been refreshingly honest about their fertility struggles, including experiencing two miscarriages while building their family — a grief that initially made Matty hesitant to celebrate this latest pregnancy.

"I didn't want to celebrate that we were having a kid," he admitted on his Two Doting Dads podcast, explaining his fears after their previous losses.

But now, seven years after meeting, they've built a beautiful family. Their two daughters — six-year-old Marlie-Mae and four-year-old Lola — have brought endless joy to their lives.

Here's a look back at their incredible journey from reality TV romance to devoted parents.

Laura and Matty's love story began on the fifth season of The Bachelor Australia in 2017, but it wasn't Matty's first brush with reality TV romance. He'd previously been the runner-up on Georgia Love's season of The Bachelorette in 2016.

Getting a second chance at love as The Bachelor, Matty chose Laura in the finale — and the rest, as they say, is history. Their connection was genuine from the start.

The couple's early relationship was refreshingly different from the typical Bachelor formula. Rather than rushing into an engagement, they took their time, moving in together in mid-2018 and focusing on building a solid foundation for their future.

After nearly two years together, Matty popped the question in April 2019 during their 'babymoon' — Laura was already pregnant with their first child at the time.

"You are my favourite everything. YES to a lifetime of love and flamboyant dance moves with you my honey," Laura wrote on Instagram, sharing the happy news with their followers.

"There's absolutely no one else I'd rather grow old and senile with. I can't wait to start a family together and now I can't wait to be your husband!" Matty captioned a video on his Instagram.

A much-awaited wedding.

After several postponements, Laura and Matty finally tied the knot on November 11, 2022, at Cupitt's Estate in Ulladulla on the NSW South Coast. The intimate ceremony was three and a half years in the making, but it was worth the wait.

In a sweet nod to their Bachelor origins, Laura arrived at the wedding in a Chrysler stretch limo — the same type of car used on the reality show where their love story began.

"When I first saw you I thought, 'Holy sh*t, there she is,'" Matty said in his vows. "I was determined to get you pregnant as soon as possible and, as luck would have it, you felt the same way. The only issue was there was a reality TV show in the way and 24 women I had to work my way through at the same time."

As they expand their family, one thing is certain: this Bachelor love story has created something far more beautiful than any reality TV finale could have scripted.
