Former All Saints and Home and Away star Martin Lynes has been charged with rape and assault.
The 48-year-old, who played Dr Luke Forlano on All Saints, was charged with nine offences on February 28 after an alleged incident at his home.
The Daily Telegraph reports the alleged victim, a woman, was treated in hospital for bruising, concussion and bites.
The alleged assault took place last month at Lynes’ home in Bateau Bay, on the New South Wales central coast.
Lynes has been charged with one count of sexual intercourse without consent, one count of assault with act of indecency, three counts of common assault and four counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, according to The Daily Telegraph.
Martin, who is now a real estate agent, last appeared on screen last year in Home and Away as Brax’s mentor Adam Sharpe. He also featured in Burning Man, Blue Water High, Packed to the Rafters and Police Rescue.
Police have taken out an apprehended violence order against Lynes, meaning he is banned from going within 100 metres of the alleged victim’s home.
He is currently out on bail.
Mamamia contacted Lynes’ manager, who was not available to comment.
