Do Rachel and Steven from MAFS 2026 go the distance? Here's what we know.

Every season of Married At First Sight, there is one couple that we all hope lasts the test of time. You know the ones – drama-free, wholesome and just… normal. 

This season, that's Steven and Rachel. They've both struggled with past relationships, but seemingly came into the experiment with open minds and hearts. But did they actually manage to find their 'forever' on Married at First Sight 2026?

With their adorable smiles and genuine vibes, we were all hoping for the next Jules and Cam. But, as we've learned from years of trauma watching this show, a nice wedding does not a marriage make. 

Meet MAFS 2026 couple Steven and Rachel. 

Rachel, a 34-year-old who is tired of being "the secret" in situationships, met 35-year-old Steven at the altar and, on paper, they are a match made in expert heaven.

Rachel came into the experiment with her heart on her sleeve, looking for a man who is proud to be with her — something she's heartbreakingly never had before. She's ready for the house, the protective husband, and the babies.

Then we have Steven. He's a guy who is over the never-ending checklist of modern dating. He just wants someone ambitious with a bit of banter who accepts him for who he is.

It sounds like a dream, right? Two normal people looking for love without a laundry list of non-negotiables in sight. But while their intentions seem pure, the reality of the experiment is a whole different beast.

Well, we've done some digging, and the tea is... well, it's actually a bit depressing.

Are Rachel and Steven from MAFS still together? 

Buckle up, because it looks like a hard no. And when we say no, we mean they might have set a record for the fastest exit in this season of MAFS.

While we're all sitting here waiting for the romance to blossom, reports from the frontline (a.k.a. the fan sightings) suggest they didn't even stick around long enough to unpack their suitcases.

According to the MAFSFunny podcast, the couple was MIA almost immediately after the honeymoon phase ended.

Host Josh Fox said that while he was tracking the couples moving into the One Global Resorts in Green Square, this pair was nowhere to be found.

"I saw the couples all one by one, going to Woollies, going to the beach, going to whatever. And did I see these two once? Nah, literally, not at all," Fox said.

"So I'm just going to call it now and say I'm fairly sure they are one of, if not the first couple to leave." Ouch.

It's a devastating blow for fans who thought these two were the "normal" ones of the 2026 cohort. Neither Rachel nor Steven have officially confirmed the split (thanks, iron-clad contracts!), but the lack of sightings speaks volumes. 

Usually, if a couple is still together, we see them grabbing a cheeky iced latte or a stray grocery haul photo. For Rachel and Steven? Crickets.
