After the MAFS experts failed Jacqui and Clint, they just shared an announcement no one was expecting.

Just when you think MAFS 2025 couldn't get any more deliciously chaotic, another bombshell drops.

Jaqui Burfoot and Clint Rice just got engaged, live at a MAFS viewing party held at Arcade Bar in Sydney.

News.com revealed that Clint proposed to Jacqui at the event, with a $30,000 custom-made Simon Curwood ring.

"I love the ring. It's huge. It's massive. It's literally heavy," Jacqui told the publication.

Posting live from the MAFS Reunion viewing party, hosted by So Dramatic, the couple showed off a dazzling diamond ring on Jaqui's hand.

"Surrounded with love in love," Jacqui captioned the video.

Jacqui told the publication she wasn't expecting to be proposed to just yet.

"I had no idea. We have talked about marriage but I thought it wouldn't happen until after I turn 30. My 30th birthday is on Tuesday. This is what I wanted," she said.

"We know the direction we're heading in," Rice told the publication after proposing. "I thought it was fitting to do it tonight and get engaged on the night we re-enter the experiment – and then move on with our lives. Jacqui and I want to put the rest of the experiment behind us."

Jacqui and Clint haven't been shy about their relationship, even if they were initially matched with different people on Married at First Sight.

While things may be looking up for the betrothed couple, they've faced a lot of controversy after debuting their romance while the season raged on.

Here's what you need to know about their rollercoaster romance.

Rumours fly.

Weeks back, several publications also reported on the rumours of Jacqui and Clint's relationship.

According to The Daily Mail, the situation reportedly left Jacqui's original partner, Ryan, feeling completely "blindsided," with the unexpected romance between Jacqui and Clint allegedly "throwing the entire season into disarray."

It took over a month of rumours and speculation to see it become official.

According to Woman's Day, Jacqui has packed up her life and relocated to Tasmania to live with Clint.

That's right folks, Miss New Zealand has moved to the Apple Isle for love. If that's not commitment, we don't know what is.

Jacqui has continually been vocal about her experience on the show, using her Instagram to share her side of the story and call out the producers for their lack of duty of care.

One thing's for certain — sometimes the MAFS experts get it wrong, and that's just how the reality TV cookie crumbles!

A staged shoot.

Jacqui and Clint officially debuted their relationship with a, well, very staged Woman's Day photo shoot. The rather un-candid laughs and perfectly positioned cuddles? Come on, guys.

Though, no complaints here… we love a couples shoot.

The magazine spread confirmed we have an official couple swap on MAFS. But, as mentioned, rumours were swirling for weeks.

Jacqui, who has never been one to hold back… at all… kept dropping breadcrumbs about her new relationship status. Go Jacqui!

"I'm an 11/10 for life happiness and satisfaction. I feel like I'm living my dream life and I'm so happy to be with someone that is genuine, down to earth and loves the outdoors like me," Jacqui said during a live Q&A on her Instagram.

In another Instagram Story, Jacqui confirmed that she 100% moved on from Ryan with a new boyfriend (who we now know to be Clint).

"I am ready to settle down and have babies (4-5 kiddos) ANNNNDDDDD I am currently in a relationship with a person who has exactly what I asked for — someone kind, considerate, a great man, and intelligent," she wrote.

Despite the drama, Jacqui and Clint seem all loved up beyond the show! And that's what matters.
