Are Brook and Chris still together? One has just spoiled their ending big time.

They didn't get off to the best start on Married at First Sight, but do controversial groom Chris and model Brook actually go the distance?

Did they actually survive the experiment? Are they still together? So many questions!

Of course, as it goes with any MAFS couple, their fate doesn't appear all that promising. Eep.

Meet MAFS 2026 couple Chris and Brook.

This year's villain, 31-year-old tradie supervisor Chris, met his bride, 27-year-old model Brook, at the altar.

From the start, it got awkies fast.

Brook was left displeased with Chris' height and his vows, which included a weird section taunting the very experiment he had signed on to do. "I feel the experts got their degree from a cereal box," he actually said. Cool!

This left Brook thinking his vows were rather negative. "I'm kind of like, what are you doing here?" she said to the camera. Good question!

Chris then got irritated when Brook wouldn't kiss him — you know, a stranger she just met — on the lips. "It just annoys me, I have to work for it and I f**king hate working for it," Chris was overheard venting to a producer.

"I'm not f**king hanging out for f**king two months to just get my first kiss." What a lovely gentleman.

The rest of their wedding and honeymoon went down without any major issues, but it's clear that Chris is going to be a dominant groom this season.

"People really love me or hate me," he said in his audition. "I don't hide my thoughts or the person that I am." These thoughts include some horrifically fatphobic opinions — more on that here.

For her part, Brook shared in her wedding episode that she has high standards for men after being cheated on in almost all her past relationships.

"I've been heartbroken so many times but it's given me clarity," she said. "I want to be adored, I want to be loved like I love someone and to be honest, if I don't get that, I would tap out because I'm only accepting the best."

But is Chris 'the best' person for Brook? This is everything we know about whether this divisive couple have gone the distance — and ooft, the tea is scalding.

Are Brook and Chris from MAFS still together?

Nothing has been confirmed, but I would say this is a hard, hard no. Like, hell no.

In an interview with Chattr, Brook did not hold back in her views of Chris after hearing him share some fat-shaming comments. She said a lot and none of it was good.

"To be quite frank, if I had known [his views], that man would have been ripped a new asshole. I would have done a full runner," she said.

"I think it's absolutely disgusting. I'm lost for words over it, to be honest. You should not be speaking about people like that or women like that in general."

Brook did not mince her words! "I would never, ever be with someone who speaks about women like that. And I think it's not him being insecure; he's a dangerous human."

Brook went as far as to suggest that Chris should never have been given the chance to be matched on MAFS. "I think he should not have been allowed on that show," she said.

"Who are you to think that that's okay to go on Married at First Sight, and have a platform and speak about people like that? That is disgusting."

For what it's worth (hint: not much), Chris has no regrets about his behaviour at his wedding. "I'm not too fussed on how it was portrayed on TV. That's me," Chris told Pedestrian TV.

According to several reports, it sounds like Chris doesn't last long on MAFS. He was reportedly asked to leave the show after an off-camera incident. Too bad, so sad.

Brook went on to spill to Chattr that she has found a new potential new romance since the MAFS experiment ended.

When asked about her Valentine's Day plans, she replied: "Let's just say, I do have some beautiful plans with a beautiful non-fat shaming man."
