Everything we know about the 2020 season of Married At First Sight Australia.

WE’RE SO CLOSE.

Married At First Sight Australia is returning to our televisions on February 3, and we can already sense the drama.

Nine have been busy releasing a series of promos over the last week, confirming much of what we already assumed to be true about the upcoming season.

It looks like its going to be dramatic as hell, and we can’t wait. Post continues below video.

The latest promos give us a real insight into the season to come (unlike Nine’s first promo, which depicted MAFS as classy and not as the trash we know and love).

There’s yelling, swearing, angry family members and plenty of tears, and heck yes, we’re excited. This is what we can expect when the show begins:

A wedding walk out.

Bride Mishel Meshes storms out of her wedding reception after discovering her groom at cheated on an ex-partner.

Mishel’s daughter tells the camera she liked the groom at first, before he dropped the bombshell, and after she tells her mum, Mishel runs out of the room.

"Why would he tell you that? Get me out of here," she says.

"Once a cheater, always a cheater."

It's a pretty rough start for Mishel, who earlier in the promo told relationship expert John Aiken she had been cheated on by seven ex-partners (and she's only had eight in total).

"Why can't I meet a guy that just likes me? Something is going wrong," she asks.

Which leads us to...

Past trauma.

Obviously.

Mishel's not the only one with tough past relationships.

In another video of an interview with contestant Poppy, we learn about how her last relationship ended in horrible circumstances.

"I've got two-year-old twins," she explains. "When they were six weeks old my husband, he had a terrible accident."

Oh no! What could it be?

"He tripped and fell and landed in his co-workers vagina and he's still stuck there."

Oh my god.

Poppy then talks about how she found photos of them together in her husband's emails, and that she is going on MAFS to find love, because she'd love for her children to grow up in a family unit, with a positive father figure.

That's lovely. This past trauma is no doubt going to come up again and again and again throughout the show, so brace yourselves.

But judging from Poppy's hilarious delivery, we can't wait to see how she handles it.

Judgey parents.

I don't actually want to think about how my own mother would react if I told her I was going to marry a stranger on TV for maybe love, but definitely social media endorsement deals.

But the mum of contestant Connie pretty much nails it.

In a promo video, we see Connie tell her mother about her decision and her mum is... not exactly stoked.

"When your child tells you 'Hey mum I'm going on a show that you don't like', that's made it worse. I can't stand your show," she says in a piece-to-camera interview.

"Was it an experiment? I thought it was an experiment that went wrong."

Well... she's not exactly wrong.

"I think the show can be quite manipulating... Like this interview for example... You're going to take bits out, you're not going to say everything I've said."

Yikes. Expect some family drama at the wedding.

Yep, Lizzy's back.

Elizabeth Sobinoff is back for another round of marrying a stranger and hoping for the best.

Last year, Sobinoff's MAFS experience didn't work out at all how she hoped. Paired with Sam Ball, her 'husband' spent the season body shaming her and sneaking around her back with fellow contestant Ines Basic.

"I'm going to get the love that I deserve," Sobinoff says to the camera in the promo released on Christmas Eve, crossing her fingers.

According to rumours, she marries AFL player Seb Guilhaus.

Second time lucky, we hope.

The first female same-sex couple.

We also know that this season will feature the show's first ever lesbian couple.

One half of the couple is Melbourne strength coach Amanda Micallef, according to the Daily Mail, and judging by the promo her wedding day gets off to a sad start.

"You know dad couldn't come, right?" a family member is heard telling Amanda, who cries.

Sobbing to the camera, she says: "You just want your parents there on your wedding day, you know?"

Drama, drama and more drama.

Judging by the promos, we're going to get plenty more fights at the dinner parties, commitment ceremonies and therapy sessions because of course.

Adelaide-based bride Stacey Hampton is seen exploding at one of the show's dinner parties, shouting "Just shut up".

The promo then cuts to Perth-based contestant Aleksandra Markovic, who is seen crying into her hands in another scene.

At the beginning of the promo, it looks like the daughter of bride Mishel is having doubts about her mum's decision to marry a stranger, saying "Please mum, don't do this" in the back of a car on the way to her mum's wedding.

Plus, in a 40 second promo of just voiceovers we get to hear all the batsh*t crazy scandals we're going to see go down.

Highlights include:

"Stop swearing, I don't speak unemployed," which is an actual sentence the comes out of a groom's mouth, plus things we hear every season like "Let me speak", "Shut up" and "You're both as bad as each other".

Production had to shut down.

Okay, full disclosure: This isn't confirmed, but it definitely sounds feasible.

An inside source supposedly told Hit Network’s Nick, Jess & Simon in October that filming for the show was getting so out of control the producers needed to step in and call for a break.

“You wonder how loose it got, apparently, they’ve just started filming again after a two-week break because the producers were just like, ‘this is going too far, we need to resettle ourselves, take a two-week filming break and then work out how we can tackle the rest of the season,” the radio hosts explain after talking to the source off air.

“For them to go, ‘guys we need a two-week break,’ means whatever they [the contestants] did must be really bad.” Yep, we could be in for some more dinner party wine-throwing.

The source also claimed that the new season may see more couple-swapping.

Apparently, some contestants may follow in the ill-fated footsteps of cheating couples Ines and Sam, and Jess and Dan.

On a more concerning note, the source also told the radio hosts that a contestant needed to be checked into a rehabilitation centre.

“Apparently they’ve needed to check someone in [to a rehab facility] because they’ve gone so loose on the show that they were worried about their mental wellbeing,” the hosts say.

Not all contestants have been announced yet, but those rumoured to have signed up for faux matrimony and an influx of Instagram followers include *takes deep breath* Elizabeth Sobinoff, Amanda Micallef, Cathy Evans, Vanessa Romito, Seb Guilhaus, Aleksandra Markovic, Mishel Meshes, Stacey Hampton, Ivan Sarakula, Michael Goonan, Chris Nicholls, David Cannon, Connie, Poppy Marie, Steven Burley, Hayley Vernon, Mikey Pembroke, Josh Philak, Amanda Micallef, Tash Herz and Natasha Jayne.

Wow.

February 3 can't come soon enough.
