An Aussie Uber driver was shocked when this A-lister booked a ride.

It was supposed to be just a normal night of Uber pick-ups and drop-offs for Gold Coast driver Mitch Hesse. Until an A-list Oscar nominee booked a ride.

The 21-year-old was shocked when Mark Ruffalo – who is currently filming Thor: Ragnarok on Queensland – hopped into his car at around 10:30pm.

"I work as an uber driver and last night I randomly picked up the movie star Mark Ruffalo (the hulk from Avengers) and it was so awesome!! Does that mean I'm famous now ??" Mitch captioned a selfie with the star on Facebook.

It seems the two shared quite a bit of backseat banter, with Ruffalo even joking he wanted to hire Hesse full time.

"He asked me to be his personal driver/assistant," Mitch responded when a friend commented and asked if Mark had given him an all-important positive driver rating.

Mitch described himself as "the happiest man" and said his night driving Ruffalo around town was the "best ever".

We're not sure any ride Mitch books from now on will ever be quite as super (get it?)
