A man who was rescued after being pinned under farm equipment for more than 24 hours in Victoria’s south west, is in a critical condition in a Melbourne hospital.
The man, in his 60s, became trapped under a hay baler at some time on Monday, Ambulance Victoria said.
Paramedics were called to a private property at Mount Duneed, near Geelong, shortly after 6:30pm on Tuesday.
The man’s legs were trapped and he was finally freed about 9:30pm, almost three hours after he was found.
“The man has serious injuries and was taken by road to Geelong Hospital in a critical condition,” an Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said in a statement.
“Early this morning he was flown by air ambulance helicopter to Royal Melbourne Hospital.”
