Mamamia's Best and Worst: How's Your Week Been?

Welcome, friends.

It’s Friday — which means it’s time for “Best and Worst”, a space for the Mamamia community to talk about what’s been happening in their lives.

I’ll kick off the celebrations, debates, bemoaning and queries by sharing the best and worst bits of my week…. and then it’s over to you.

Best:

This week I got my eyebrows professionally shaped. And while it may sound odd that the best part of my week was having tiny hairs individually plucked from my face, hear me out.

While thick eyebrows are currently the biggest thing since skinny jeans, I was blessed with eyebrows that would put Cara Delevingne to shame (…and not in a good way).

I used to pluck my eyebrows here and there, but my thick brows just had a mind of their own. And while my dad’s comments about my “lovely caterpillars” were sweet enough, I decided enough was enough. So this week, I booked in at my local salon for an eyebrow tidy, and WOW – what a difference.

My beauty therapist took one good look at my brows and got to work. After ten or so minutes of bearable pain, my “caterpillars” were miraculously tamed into the shapely brows I’ve been dreaming of.

I’m proud to say that my brow game is now totally on point.

Worst:

What could possibly put a dampener on my week when I was feeling as fly as Beyoncé?

A parking ticket.

I’m a stickler for road rules. I ALWAYS stick to the speed limit and I’ve never gotten a parking fine. I always keep an eye on the time for when my parking time limit is up. But the one time I didn’t make it to the car in time, I get slammed with a $104 fine for being just a few minutes over the limit.

I know, I know. It was technically my fault.

But, still. ARGHHH. You know the feeling.
