Mamamia recaps MAFS: Battle lines have been drawn.

We're back with the latest episode of Married At First Sight… couples retreat edition. And at this point, it's safe to say that there's nothing retreat-like about it.

Last night ended on a dramatic note as Lauren stormed out of the girls' night when the group backed Clint and posed some tough questions about her decision to leave. But the tension didn't stop there — tonight's episode kicks off with Lauren throwing some pretty harsh name-calling at the other girls.

"Losers," Lauren says as she walks out.

Carina tries to reason with the group, explaining that Lauren may have felt ganged up on, before she and Rhi run after Lauren to console her.

"She's a bogan," Lauren says again to Carina and Rhi.

At this point, it feels like "bogan" is the only insult she can come up with. And I'm kind of sick of hearing it at this point, to be very honest.

After a quick chat with Carina and Rhi, Lauren sheds a few tears, and decides to come back to join the group. Why? No clue at all, because she clearly has nothing good to say to the rest of these women.

Lauren admits to the group that she doesn't have any "spark" or "connection" with Clint (a surprise to no one) but feels no desire to talk to the girls about it.

"I actually don't want to talk to any of you right now," she says.

"I've spoken to everyone I have an interest in talking to, and it's not either of you," Lauren says to Awhina and Jamie. Yikes.

"Watch your f***ing tone," Jamie responds. Big yikes.

And just like that, the night is over. Jamie and Awhina walk out and, let's just say, we're making a mental note not to give Lauren any relationship advice in the future, lest she call us "bogans" and "buffoons".

The drama continues when Jamie confides in Dave and reveals that Lauren admitted to not having feelings for Clint, who genuinely believes Lauren likes him. Spoiler alert: she does not. She knows it. We know it. Only Clint doesn't know it. I feel like spy with very boring information being withheld from one very boring (but nice) man.

Dave, being the supportive husband and friend we've come to know, decides to take matters into his own hands by giving Clint a heads-up about the situation. Once again, Dave came through for us. We love this man. We would be okay with this one specific male MAFS contestant launching their own podcast. But just this one.

But when Clint asks Lauren about the truth, she lies through her teeth, claiming that "it's all bullshit." Is it, Lauren? IS IT? Roll the tape! We all heard you.

Lauren then declares that she wants to spite the group by staying rather than leaving now. Nothing attention-seeking about that, right? For a couple that claimed they were 100% done with the drama, Lauren and Clint sure seem to love it. Well, she does. He's just… sort of there.

In other news, many of the other couples seem to be doing well. Awhina and Adrian are apparently all good now? Despite not having actually worked through any of their issues on the couch or otherwise, they're seen frolicking along the beach this past episode. Not to be that person, but did we all just conveniently forget that Adrian's sister called Awhina a "turd" just last week? Anyone?

Eliot and Veronica are also doing surprisingly well, having a little dip in the pool. And hey, we'll take the peace when we get it.

But, in true MAFS form, the peace doesn't last long… and things escalate as Lauren and Clint isolate themselves from the rest of the group. Noticing the tension, TJ, being the nice man he is, decides to approach them for a chat. A decision which, I'm sure, he instantly regrets. Prompted by absolutely nothing, Lauren calls Jamie a "troll" and Beth an "ugly mute."

Seriously, what's with all the name-calling? She just can't help herself.

But the real mess unfolds at dinner when Lauren and Jamie attempt to hash it out. 'Attempt' being the key word.

"I'd rather sit here and tweeze every individual hair on my body. I'm Greek. Do you know how long that would f***ing take me?" Jamie says about having a conversation with Lauren. And honestly, we kind of get it now.

At dinner, Jamie calls Lauren out for being rude and Lauren claims she was attacked by the group. Lauren also denies ever calling anyone "bogans".

"I didn't say you were a bogan. I said you were loud and boganic," Lauren says.

I mean… as far as defences go, let's be honest, it's not a great one.

It's clear that communication is breaking down. Carina steps in to defend Lauren, while Rhi chooses to stay silent, further agitating Jamie. In Rhi's defence, she did call out Lauren privately earlier in the day for her the name-calling, so she's not entirely Switzerland. Feeling unsupported, Jamie lashes out at Carina and Rhi for not standing up for her, especially when she often defends them.

As if the evening couldn't get any more heated, Clint loses his cool and starts going off on Jamie for being too loud, complete with swearing. Ah, Clint. We were all rooting for you. But come on. You've got to pull your head out of the sand at some point. LAUREN DOES NOT LIKE YOU. THE JIG IS UP.

Enter Adrian, who, of all people, jumped into the fray to support Jamie — how ironic! We definitely did not see this one coming.

"This is the 10th time you've sworn at a woman bro," he says to Clint.

He's right, and I completely agree, but it somehow feels wrong coming out of Adrian's mouth. The same man who cuts off his own wife and dismisses her concerns every week.

But through it all, Dave remains Jamie's unwavering supporter, proving once again why we adore him. By the end of the night, nothing is resolved and Jamie is seen breaking down in tears in her confessional.

"When I'm yelling for you, then it's okay. But where is my defence?" she says, talking about the lack of support she received from her friends.

And we have to agree. Jamie's been a good friend throughout the entire experiment, standing up for herself and others. So, it's sad to see her not get the support she deserves.

Tomorrow night, I spy even more drama between Carina, Rhi, and Jamie as things get spicy at the dinner party.
