Mamamia recaps MAFS: Here’s the thing... I hate your family.

Keen for all the latest Married At First Sight gossip? Keep an eye on our MAFS hub here.

Married at First Sight is back and this episode definitely, umm… happened.

We pick back up with a sobbing Awhina and her twin sister, Cleo, with the sisters still reeling from that awful lunch.

Meanwhile, Adrian reckons he's "done nuffin' wrong."

I don't know if any man on this show has made me madder, and oh boy, that is saying something.

Video: Nine.

Awhina heads back to the apartment and as she's giving a confessional, Adrian barges in. OMG GET OUT. He continues to antagonise her.

"Adrian, your family came in on attack mode," she rightly tells him. "I'm embarrassed for you."

He does his two favourite things: denies and deflects. She says she doesn't have to listen to him anymore. "Bye, don't ever come back!" she shouts as he stomps off. YES AWHINA!!

I hope we never see this man on our TVs again!

You know who I couldn't be more thrilled to see right now? Jacqui and Ryan.

The absolute gaslighting toxicity that exudes from Adrian has made me weirdly crave this bizarre, but ultimately harmless couple.

I LOVE JACQUI AND RYAN. STAY WEIRD. WE NEED IT.

They are dancing?? I don't know why?? Keep it up.

Frenchie and Carina merge their families and it's as flawless as these two beautiful Europeans' future kids.

Carina's Auntie Maria drops some wild sex questions. "Do you sleep together?? Tell me about your sex life? Spare no detail!"

I love it. We all want to know, don't be shy.

Eliot writes a confession letter to Veronica to recall one of the most traumatic moments from his childhood… finding out his sister had diabetes.

Veronica ain't impressed with this childhood trauma, saying in a confessional she thinks it was a bit of a cop-out. "I thought it would be different," she tells him. "I thought it would be about you… I don't know how you felt or it impacted you."

Eliot is confused. They bicker back and forth and I don't really understand her argument. Like, Eliot is allowed to be upset over his sister?? She can't police his trauma?? She storms off.

I do wonder if Veronica would have reacted like this if she didn't have Lauren's warning about him on her mind. Like, this is a bit of an overreaction, doll.

Maybe this storyline would make more sense if we saw Veronica's confession? Idk, seems weird.

She returns at the end of the episode and clearly, this woman just has the ick with Eliot because she's started to recoil at every word he says.

He brought out the letter again. She doesn't want to hear it. He think she 'hates his guts' and I think he's right.

She brings up Lauren so he tries to address his ex-wife and Veronica is like 'how dare you change the subject??' It's all rather baffling. They move into separate apartments.

In a more sane scene, Jamie and Hot Dave combine their families. He tells the group that Jamie makes him "feel heard and seen, and it makes my soul smile."

HIS SOUL SMILE. I CAN'T. I LITERALLY CAN'T WITH THIS PERFECT MAN.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, Tony and Morena bring their friends together as they continue to pretend they're together.

She tells them about how he goes home every weekend. He defends his 'Tony time'. I ponder what I should eat for dessert…. hmm, ice cream or a choccy bar?? I'm clearly riveted.

The vibes are awful. The edit doesn't feel like it reflects anything real. I can't bother with these two.

Morena's friends pull him aside and he straight-up tells them he only sees her as a friend, adding that he wanted a woman who was young enough to have kids.

This is clearly not what he asked for when he applied for MAFS.

"You want kids? That's new information about you," a producer butts in. This is all very suss, as is the amount this man talks in the third person.

Anyways, he tells Morena about longing for kids and she's confused how at 53, he's only just realised this. Are they done? I hope so!

That episode was kinda dull, right? Like stuff happened but I didn't care about any of it!

Luckily, next episode Frenchie has a big confession to make at the dinner party, and tbh, we need some drama so bring it on.
