LEIGH CAMPBELL: 'The easy trick I use to brighten my eyes (and it's not concealer).'

If you struggle with dark circles and puffiness around your eyes, ugh same. It's one of the most common — and frustrating — skincare concerns that can instantly make you look WAY more tired than you actually are.

But if you've been searching for the perfect product to reduce their appearance, you're in luck.

On a recent episode of You Beauty podcast, resident beauty expert Leigh Campbell shared a game-changing product she's obsessed with for brightening dark eyelids and concealing under-eye bags — introduced to her by a professional makeup artist.

The surprising bit? It's not just another concealer.

M.A.C Cosmetics Pro Longwear Paint Pot

As Leigh shared, it's the M.A.C Cosmetics Pro Longwear Paint Pot, $47 — a multi-functional cream eyeshadow that primes, perfects and adds buildable colour for a myriad of eye looks.

"I use it and I tap tap tap across my eyelid to neutralise and brighten," Leigh shared.

She explained that she has naturally dark, purple eyelids and used to rely on an under-eye brightener. However, it was too "juicy" and hydrating for her lids, leading to poor durability and coverage.

But this product has remedied that.

"It's almost like a full-coverage concealer but for the eyelid," Leigh said.

According to the Adore Beauty website, the product is a "cult-favourite cream eyeshadow that delivers long-lasting, crease-resistant colour with a seamless finish."

Even better? It's available in five shades and finishes.

The application process is a breeze, too. Simply use your fingertips, a sponge or a brush to apply a small amount directly to your eyelid. Work the product quickly to blend for a seamless finish. You can build coverage as needed or use it as a base to enhance your eyeshadows' colour payoff and longevity.

"If you're not a shadow wearer, but you're maybe a liner wearer or you've just got that kind of really dark lid that you don't like the look of, instead of using a concealer that's too juicy, a foundation or an eyelid primer that's too sheer, use this long wear paint pot," Leigh recommended.
