Bling Empire's Lynn Ban had an accident she said 'didn't seem that bad'. Weeks later, she died.

Lynn Ban, the beloved Netflix star and renowned jewellery designer, has tragically passed away at the age of 51. Her death follows a devastating skiing accident during a family holiday in Aspen, Colorado, leaving fans, friends, and family heartbroken.

What began as a perfect Christmas Eve in the snowy mountains turned into an unimaginable nightmare. While skiing with her family, Ban suffered a fall that initially seemed minor.

"At the top of the mountain I caught a tip and face planted," she shared in an emotional post in December.

Protected by her helmet, Ban managed to ski to the bottom of the slope despite lingering pain. "It didn't seem that bad at the time," she admitted.

But "in a blink of an eye", everything changed.

Feeling slightly off, Ban decided to visit ski patrol for a concussion check, believing she would recover quickly and return to the slopes after lunch.

That wasn't the case.

"The paramedic suggested I go to the hospital for a cat scan. This saved my life," she said on December 31.

Within 30 minutes at the hospital, doctors discovered a brain bleed. Ban was urgently flown to a trauma hospital, where she underwent emergency surgery.

She later reflected on waking up intubated beside her husband, Jett.

"There's a long road of recovery ahead but I'm a survivor and grateful to ski patrol, the incredible team of doctors and nurses and the support my family and friends," she wrote, expressing her hope and gratitude.

Tragically, her son, Sebastian announced this week that Ban died following the accident.

While he did not disclose her exact cause of death, Sebastian shared a heartfelt tribute to honour his mother's memory.

"I would like to take the chance to share who my mum really was," he wrote.

"She was and always will be my best friend, the best mother to me, and someone who cared for all," he wrote.

"She always had a smile on her face even when times were tough during her recovery process. She was a fighter until the end and is the strongest woman I know."

He added:

Sebastian vowed he would do everything he could to ensure his mother's legacy was never forgotten.

"As a final message to my mum, I would just like to say that I will miss you forever and to end in something she always told me, 'I love you more than life itself', mum," he wrote.
