A young lesbian had a one night stand with a man 21-years ago. Now their child wants to find her father.

All she wants is to meet her father.

Twenty-one years ago a young lesbian met a man in a pub in Rosebury, Victoria. The young woman had been feeling lost in life and was yearning to have a baby.

She met a man, she believes he was part Maori and part French and they got to talking about shared interests. The two went home together.

After spending the night he left and they never met again.

21-years later the result of that night has embarked on a journey, a very personal, difficult quest to find her father.

Luci Mayer, from Bendigo in Victoria has taken to social media to find the man who helped her mother’s dream come true.

Luci’s mother Mig has told The Daily Mail that on the night she fell pregnant she asked the young man she met at the Rosebury Hotel if he would help her.

“I was having a couple of drinks and… There was this fellow there and he was drawing in a folder, he was a good looking man, he was interesting.”

She says she believes he was an architecture student, perhaps studying at University.

She told The Daily Mail “We were chatting away and I asked him if he would do the deed to see if I could have a baby,”

She says that at first he said no, but as the night went on he changed his mind and they had sex.

“He looked like a woman he was so pretty and really good-looking, so it was easy for me to get with him because he looked like a woman, he was very stunning.”

She had her baby alone and raised Luci as a single mother. Luci said it wasn’t until she was a teenager she began to wonder about him – and so in April this year put out the appeal on Facebook:

“My name is Kathleen Mayer and I am looking for my biological father whom I have never, in my 20 years of life, met.

My mother’s name is Mig (Maria) Mayer, she was 34 at the time, and supposedly asked him if he’d have a baby with her, being a lesbian she didn’t want anything from him, just a donor, at first he objected but as the night lead on they ended up back at mums house (which we lived in for a further 12 years).

In the morning he was gone.

I cannot do this without the help of the Facebook community.

I do not have a name or a town, this is what I do have.

Please, help me to find out who I am.

Writing on Facebook Luci has expressed her distress over how difficult the journey has been.

“What an emotional roller coaster! I hate putting mum through this, I know it kills her to think about it. From her regret, guilt and sadness to my longing, heart break and frustration I don’t know who it’s harder on.”

Luci is hoping that her quest will be shared and that anyone with information can help her find her dad.

Her mum says that she too wants her daughter to know that side of her family.

I’ve been wanting to do this” Mig told The Daily Mail “it’s the biggest thing in my life I’ve wanted to do and haven’t done.”
