Mamamia recaps Love Triangle on Stan: Have these men heard of communication?

Oh honey, we're back for another week of Love Triangle drama, and things are just getting messier and messier. After last week's drama at the Triangle Party, let's just say there were many, many loose ends to tie up for more than just one couple.

We begin with Dante, who's in full damage-control mode after last week's comment about wishing he was in a different triangle. A terrible thing to say, we can all acknowledge. After an icy morning, he apologises to Payton for essentially saying her request to take things slow is not okay with him, and she — being the kind girlie we love — accepts it. And while I still don't know how I feel about his intentions, I will accept them communicating like actual adults and moving forward!

Jordan, on the other hand, takes this as an opportunity to win back Payton's approval, and it's so obvious, I can't stand it.

"This has kind of kicked me out of the dog house and put him into the dog house. It's very satisfying," Jordan says about the rift between Dante and Payton.

Are we all going to casually forget that this man said the most vile things about Payton just a few weeks ago??? Sorry, sir, but it's a no from me.

Meanwhile, after Chloe's words to the group last week, both Emma and Beck have decided to focus solely on her rather than pursuing each other. This means Chloe now has not two, but THREE options: Emma, Beck, and, how can we forget… Bernie. That's not a love triangle anymore, that's a love... quadrilateral? I'm no geometry expert, but I know that's too many angles for this show's title. Chloe has some tough decisions to make, for sure.

And now for the segment I like to call 'Mike Behaving Poorly On TV.'

Melissa tells Mike she felt his words towards Chloe at the last party were "inappropriate." A reasonable observation, you might think. Mike, however, takes this feedback, well… terribly. He thinks Chloe was trying to make him look bad in front of Melissa and that it was "totally unacceptable," which is why he called her "irritating."

Melissa — using more patience than you, or I possess — explains that she wishes he had focused on her words rather than attacking her character.

"That was on the mild scale of things that I could have said to her," Mike declares.

He genuinely can't understand why Melissa is upset, claiming that she's using a "patronising tone" even though we are observing, in my opinion, a completely normal conversation. She's literally just talking. No voice raising. No insults. Nothing. It's called communication, buddy.

"I can't even have a conversation with him," Melissa sighs to the camera.

But, to all of our surprise, in a confessional later, Mike drops a bombshell that is actually really self-reflexive.

"I'm not a good person because this stuff doesn't happen to good people. This happens to me all the time," he says.

"And I mean that sincerely, I know I'm not a good person."

It's almost enough for me to feel bad for him, honestly. I will give credit where credit is due — I'm glad he's looking at his own behaviour. Let's just hope he continues to change it.

Now, the most checked-out contestant since... ever, Bernie, has mentally left the building, the show, and possibly the planet. He's fully focused on Chloe, not his two matches. But has neglected to tell either of them that he is not interested. What is with these reality men and communication?

"But I don't care about the consequences," he declares, which should be the official tagline for his entire existence on this show.

"I genuinely feel that I tried really hard," he insists, which might be the funniest thing he's said all season. Sir, you're not trying. You're complaining.

Marissa, showing remarkable perception, knows something is wrong. "There's a disconnect," she says, winning the understatement of the year award.

Then comes the final party, where things go from messy to absolute chaos. Chloe is waiting for Bernie anxiously after reading his confession letter. He thinks she's interested based on how she kisses his cheek to greet him. She can't take her eyes off him, which doesn't go unnoticed.

Eventually, Mike apologises to Chloe and she accepts. Things are good again. Well, as "good" as things can be in this emotional tornado. Melissa is "proud of him" for doing that, and we kind of are too. Let's keep up the accountability, Mike.

But everything that has happened up until now feels like background noise when there is a secret bathroom rendezvous that changes everything. In the most predictable "I'm just going to the bathroom" scene since every high school party ever, Chloe meets up with Bernie to chat about his letter.

"I'm really scared," Chloe confesses. She's scared to throw away two potential people for this man, but she hasn't stopped thinking about him since she received his letter.

Then Bernie kisses her on the cheek and BOOM! They're making out. WHAT IS HAPPENING??? That escalated so quickly and I'm not even sure how we got here anymore.

The most outrageous part? They return to the group and lie through their teeth. Bernie acts like he's still potentially interested in his two matches. But Jazmin and Marissa are not having any of it. They are the real heroes of the night, in my opinion.

"Jazmin and I have more of a relationship than I have with Bernie," Marissa points out, which isn't saying much since Bernie has shown about as much interest in his matches as I have in learning to crochet.

She thinks he's massively disrespected her and Jazmin. AGREED, QUEEN. We love to see two women teaming up to hold someone accountable.

Marissa then goes full out, calling Bernie out for not trying to get to know them and not being honest about his lack of interest, particularly when she left her child to come onto this experiment. It's the confrontation we've all been waiting for, and it's glorious because this man deserves to be called out. And taken down a few notches.

"I think it's a mental trying," Bernie responds, which doesn't even make sense. What in the world is 'mental trying?' Did I have too much wine while watching this?

And then Jazmin delivers the line of the season: "All I want is a knight in shining armour, and he's a loser in tin foil."

ICONIC. LEGENDARY. SOMEBODY PUT THAT ON A T-SHIRT IMMEDIATELY. No one is blaming you for not being compatible with the people you're matched with or even developing feelings for someone else. But the least you can do is be honest in this scenario. Just communicate, man.

The confrontation has Chloe questioning everything, as she should. If he's treating these women this way now, what's to say he won't do the same to her? And let me tell you, Chloe… he is bad news. GO FOR EMMA! We love Emma.

Will Chloe choose her geometric shape wisely? Will Bernie's tin foil armour protect him from the wrath of the scorned women in his path of destruction?
