'The cult multi-purpose product that'll replace your body wash, shaving cream and moisturiser.'

When it comes to most aspects of beauty, I'm a lazy girl who enjoys cutting corners. Surprise! This is especially true when it comes to body care. And especially now I'm pregnant. Because I truly just CBF with the extra effort at this point. It's true! I can hardly reach my knees. Anything beyond one step is approximately too much.

This is where those clever multi-tasking formulas come in — the type of stuff that works overtime to give you many benefits in one.

Watch: Speaking of beauty, here's what happened when I tried the viral dry feet hack. Post continues below.

My absolute staple of the moment? L'Occitane's Almond Shower Oil. Can't get enough of the stuff. Would spread on my toast in the morning if I could.

Yes! Everyone who has skin on their body loves it. It smells amazing. Makes you feel like almond croissants. Elevates your shower routine by five million.

In case you've been snoozin', here's what it looks like:

Yes! You know the one.

What is L'Occitane Almond Shower Oil?

Oil? In the shower? Sounds... slippery. Dangerous, even. But trust me on this one. This cult-favourite shower oil has been around for yonks (since 1989, to be exact) and has garnered quite the following. Why? Because it's basically everything you want in a shower product, wrapped up in one very chic little golden bottle.

The formula is based on almond oil (obviously), which helps keep skin soft and supple. But unlike other shower oils that leave you feeling all slippery and gross (like you've literally dunked yourself in a tub of olive oil), this one just hits different.

Why is it so good?

Beautifully hydrating, it offers so many benefits in one — and seriously cuts my routine (and crowded shower shelf) in half.

It's a serious little multitasker that transforms into a gorgeous silky, cleansing milk upon touching water, providing the perfect shaving base. As someone who has leg hair that grows as soon as you shave it (blessed), I shave constantly and it sucks. This makes it not suck as much. And way less irritating to my sensitive skin. (No redness! No bumps!).

Your skin feels soft, smooth and silky — and the smell! Goodness. The smell. If you haven't yet blessed your nostrils with the mouthwatering aroma of warm almonds and delicious vanilla, you must — nay, NEED — to at least go to a store and sniff it for yourself.

It's like walking into a French patisserie, except you're naked and wet.

While it's not exactly cheap (prices start from $39 for 250ml), a little goes a long way. I've had my bottle for months and it's still going strong — despite using it daily.

It comes in various sizes (there's even a travel-sized version for those who can't bear to be without it on holibobs).

I like to apply it directly to my wet skin in the shower, where it'll transform into that milky texture I mentioned OR (my preferred method when shaving), apply it to dry skin before you step in. This gives you maximum slip for razor action. Pro tip: Keep it away from your shower floor — oil + wet tiles = potential disaster.

The verdict.

In case you're skimming (rude, but okay) and haven't read this entire body of work, it essentially replaces your shaving cream, body wash and moisturiser all in one. And I'm a major fan.

It's particularly brilliant for when your skin feels dry and reptilian (me) or when you're pregnant and can barely reach your toes (also me).

Your skin will thank you, your nose will thank you, and your overcrowded shower shelf will definitely thank you.Have you tried L'Occitane's Almond body care range? What's your favourite? Share with us in the comment section below.
