Lindsay Lohan's face is derailing her comeback tour.

Lindsay Lohan has grown up in the public eye in a way most celebs can't quite grasp.

Thrown into the spotlight at the age of 12 for her breakout role in The Parent Trap, Lohan quickly became a staple of the screen for her roles in Mean Girls, Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen, and Freaky Friday, which has a 2025 sequel, Freakier Friday, premiering this August.

But almost as quickly as she arrived, Lohan's film roles began to dry up, after her personal life took a sharp turn following two arrests, a stint in rehab and a failed reality show.

But in recent years, the actress has experienced one hell of a career resurgence, with roles in several Netflix rom-coms, a style makeover, and now, her first-ever starring role in a TV series: an adaptation of Sophie Stava's suspenseful thriller, Count My Lies.

At the same time, there has been growing discourse around her sudden youthful appearance. Gone are the days of Lindsay's dishevelled mugshots plastering our screens. In their place, Lohan is looking more glamorous (and well, young) than ever.

This has led some online commentators to speculate whether the 38-year-old has had some sort of drastic plastic surgery procedure or potentially a total facelift.

She's one of several famous women who have seemingly defied natural ageing of late, with Christina Aguilera and Anne Hathaway also looking especially youthful recently.

While interviewing Lohan about her new TV show, one interviewer couldn't help but bring up the surgery rumour, and Lohan directly addressed rumours that she had a facelift.

"I'm like, when?" she quipped to Elle in an interview. "When would I have done that? With what time?"

In response to the question, Lohan's publicist was quick to jump in and defend her, calling the speculation "so mean" and pointing out the unfair scrutiny women face when their looks change.

"The haters can hate and be jealous," her publicist told Elle. "It just sucks that that's where they go with women in today's world. Women can't just look good to look good and change their lifestyle to be more healthy."

Later in the interview, Lohan did hint that she could have had some minor cosmetic surgery done.

"Everyone does Botox," she admitted, joking that anyone who says they haven't is "lying."

But mostly, she reiterated that she hasn't had a facelift or major plastic surgery, despite public speculation.

When told her skin looked 'amazing', she was quick to attribute the changes to her juice diet.

"I drink this juice every morning, it's like carrot, ginger, lemon, olive oil, apple," Lohan said. "I also drink a lot of green tea, a lot of water. I'm a big pickled beets person, so I put them in almost everything."

It seems that whether she wants to talk about it or not, Lindsay's face is going to be a topic of conversation. But maybe she knows that?

In the cover interview, Lohan said that she is developing her own skincare and beauty brand, too. She shared she had been experimenting with her skincare since she welcomed her son in July 2023.

"My skin changed after having my son. It got really sensitive. That's what really made me change my whole routine and diet and everything," she said.

"I did blood tests, and I was like, 'I want to know everything I'm allergic to.' So I cut everything out, and that's kind of when everything started to change for me."

Whatever Lindsay is doing or not doing, she looks beautiful either way. And with a new TV show and Freakier Friday on the way, we have plenty of other topics we can be talking about that have nothing to do with her looks.
