Everything we know about 'Purple Team' Liberty and Eliza from The Block.

If you're a fan of The Block, you're in for a real treat.

The Block has officially announced the names of the five couples teaming up to compete against one another for the show's alluring prize money and the huge sale price of their home. 

The announcement came in the form of a teaser trailer, where host Scott Cam told us about the exciting news wearing an old-school style leather jacket and rocking a FULL HEAD OF HAIR.

The teaser also told us that the new season will be winding back the clock, taking inspiration from the 1950s and making Blockhead history.

To say we can't wait for the new season is an understatement. So in the meantime, while we wait for more info (like when the show will start) let's get to know each of the couples that will be front and centre of our screens in the months to come.

Unfortunately, many of the details surrounding the cast are still under wraps, however, we do know that both Liberty and Eliza will be building, styling and selling on behalf of Team Purple.

And in another The Block-first we have our second-ever all-female team. 

So we're hoping for these two women to take over the competition and then move onto the logical next step: world domination.

If you're wondering when you'll be able to watch, the season is likely to premier in mid-August, so check back then for all the season's updates.
