I completely forgot about that time... Gwyneth Paltrow totally rejected Leonardo DiCaprio.

We've found out some unsettling, but not at all surprising, news concerning that of actors Leonardo DiCaprio and Gwyneth Paltrow.

It is that there is a reality where they could have (but didn't) date, and it's messing with our brains. 

We found all of this out in a podcast episode of Call Her Daddy where Paltrow revealed that, at one point, DiCaprio was possibly a little in love with her.

On the podcast episode, Paltrow was asked to disclose any celebrities she had made out with and although she refused to mention any A-lister in particular, she did dish a little goss when DiCaprio was named. 

It was actually a lot of goss because we learnt he once made a pass at her. 

"[I] never made out with Leo," she admitted. "He tried back in the day. But he was already like, you know, he was very loose with the goods from when he was 19."

The pair were briefly connected together in 1994 when they were photographed at the 65th Annual National Board of Review of Motion Pictures Awards. At the time, he was not-yet 20 years old, while Paltrow was 22.

1994 was, oddly enough, also the year DiCaprio first went public with a relationship and it was with model Bridget Hall. They didn't last long, as he was soon linked with Claire Danes following their film, Romeo and Juliet, together.

It wouldn't matter much because that same year, the GOOP founder found and fell in love with... Brad Pitt. 

Paltrow said on Call Her Daddy that it was "major love at first sight" when she first saw Pitt while working together on the 1995 film Se7en. 

"It was crazy," she recalled.

Despite getting engaged, the couple eventually broke up in 1997.

"I had a lot of development to do, looking back in hindsight. In a lot of ways, I didn't really fully start to come into myself until I was 40 years old," Paltrow explained. "And I had such a pleasing issue. I didn't really even understand how to listen to my instincts and act from that place."

Discussing her exes, Paltrow said that although Ben Affleck was "technically excellent" in bed, she and Pitt had "like the sort of major chemistry, love of your life, kind of [hookup]."

The actor also recalled the first time she saw Pitt following their breakup, explaining it had been a few years later while she was presenting at the Oscars in 2000.

"I remember the first time I saw him, I was presenting at the Academy Awards the year after I won and I like walked out, and I was so cognisant of him being there," she said. 

"And I was like, 'Oh, my God, this is so scary and so awkward.'"

Paltrow continued: "Yeah, he was, like, right there and we hadn't talked in a couple of years. I think I even fumbled my words. It was the year after I won. It was crazy," she added.

The actor eventually went on to marry Coldplay singer Chris Martin, who she said she felt a "deep calling" to be with.

"I couldn't quite put my finger on it because it felt very different than my other relationships," she explained. "And it's not so much that the relationship itself turned out to be, like, healthier than my other relationships, it's just that I think I had this deep calling on some level."

Paltrow added: "I knew he was going to be the father of my kids, maybe, or something."

The two were together for 13 years before splitting up in 2016. They had two children together; Apple and Martin. 

Nowadays, the wellness founder is married to Brad Falchuk, who is best known for co-creating with Ryan Murphy the television series Glee, American Horror Story, Scream Queens, and Pose. 

DiCaprio, who has never been married and has a reputation for only dating women under the age of 25, is rumoured to be dating 19-year-old model Eden Polani after the pair were spotted at an EP release party for Ebony Riley.
