Lube as a hair product and 15 other beauty hacks Leigh Campbell swears by.

If there's one woman who's tried every beauty product, treatment and trend under the sun, it's Mamamia's very own Leigh Campbell.

From luxury facials to pharmacy finds, she's spent over two decades testing it all. So when she drops a beauty hack, we listen.

On a recent episode of You Beauty, Leigh shared some of her favourite, funniest and most unexpected tricks for looking good (without needing three hours and 20 serums).

From using lube in her hair to LED masking while doing house chores, here are 17 hacks we learnt from the queen of efficient beauty routines.

LED multitasking.

Before going in with her morning skincare routine, Leigh uses the Qure Q-Rejuvalight Pro Facewear ($499.00).

"It's three minutes and I can walk around the house. It straps to my head, I look like Robocop."

Eye masks for the time poor.

"I'm not going to be doing a 10 or 20-minute thing where I have to be still," Leigh said. "I would love to be a Gua Sha person and a massager, but that involves me standing still and concentrating."

So, after she uses her LED face mask in the mornings, she pops on the James Cosmetics Eye Masks ($24.99) to instantly make her look more awake.

"Again, I can walk around the house, so I like to double multi-task."

Find an eye cream that works as a primer.

Leigh now swears by the Bubble Morning Rays Brightening Eye Cream ($22).

"It's a great texture for under makeup, but super nourishing. It's not too light."

Lube as a hair product.

Yep, Leigh shared that she's used lube to tame flyaways and frizz — and she's not the only one. Turns out, many lubes have a water-based, silicone-free formula that gives hair a soft, glossy finish without the crunch. Sure, it's not your everyday styling product, but it works.

Bath time is a ritual, not a luxury.

"I have a bath every single night because it signifies washing the day off," she said.

It's her way of mentally and physically winding down.

Vitamin C is the MVP.

According to Leigh, if she could only buy one serum, it would be vitamin C.

"Generally, it would be vitamin A, only because vitamin A is the single most studied ingredient in skincare, so we know the most about it and it's a great all-rounder for fading acne, ageing, pigmentation, everything. But for me, I would choose a vitamin C."

Double cleanse. Always.

Leigh starts with the Naturium Purple Ginseng Cleansing Balm ($39.95), then follows with the Byoma Milky Moisture Cleanser ($24.00). It's her non-negotiable combo to make sure everything, from makeup to SPF, is fully removed.

Find a good facialist.

It's safe to say that Leigh has tried a lot of facials during her time in the beauty industry. These days, she doesn't often get the chance to go, but if she could revisit any, it would be the Vanessa Megan facial.

"That was phenomenal," she recalled. "It was results-driven, I felt really glowy, but it also involved deep massage."

"Often, when you get to a certain age, you feel like you have to choose between ouchy-not-enjoyable results or a fluffy massage that doesn't do much. This was both. It went for an hour and I loved every second."

Lymphatic drainage works.

Leigh visited She's So Well in Randwick, NSW, for a 90-minute body and face lymphatic drainage session. And to say she was blown away would be an understatement.

"I'm a very puffy person… I don't have ankles, just everything is puffy," she admitted.

"It was so firm and it hurt me in a good way, and it was really enjoyable. She did my whole body and then my face. I went on a Friday afternoon, and the way I felt afterwards... wow.

"I really enjoyed that 90 minutes, and normally I'm someone who can't sit still. I get really edgy in long treatments. It was phenomenal, and I will absolutely book again."

Micellar water and a sleep mask work wonders.

Leigh is just like the rest of us and admits to often falling asleep with her makeup on.

But on nights when she's this close to nodding off, she simplifies.

"If I can't be bothered - or I haven't already fallen asleep on the couch - I'll just do micellar and a sleep mask. That's all I have the energy for."

Deodorant for everywhere.

She's a big fan of the Rexona Whole Body Deo Wild Rose ($11.99).

"The new Rexona all-over deodorant that you can use in other places is really clever. It's not glamorous, but it solves a problem so many people have. I'm peri and I sweat, and it's not all from under my arms."

Cleanse your ears.

We clean our faces, necks, décolletage and hair… but our ears? Not so much…

"When you're cleansing in the shower, clean inside your ears and outside your ears," Leigh said. "It's filthy, especially if you use dry shampoo. Your ears are revolting."

Earlobes get saggy, too.

Always take your skincare up to (and behind) your ears.

"I get quite dry behind there," Leigh said. Her go-to is either a balm from La Roche Posay or Bioderma, which are both brands known to be gentle and soothing for delicate areas.

Exfoliate your eyebrows.

"I get psoriasis in my eyebrows, so I sometimes give them a big spoolie scrub," Leigh shared.

This helps lift flakes, keeps things smooth and makes brow products apply better.

Stick on toenails.

Leigh's been known to pop on a set of press-on toenails when she wants an instant pedicure without the salon booking, price tag, dry time or inevitable smudging.

They're perfect for holidays, last-minute events or when you just can't be bothered.

Sunscreen should be the law.

Simply put, sunscreen is a non-negotiable for Leigh.

She loves the Mecca Cosmetica To Save Face SPF50+ Sunscreen ($46), especially for long makeup days.

"That one is great because it's formulated like a primer," she said.

Always read the label and follow the directions for use. Reapply every two hours and avoid prolonged sun exposure. Sunscreens are only one part of sun protection.
