A fashion expert just shared the 15 wardrobe essentials everyone needs.

Laura Jade Stone may not be a household name, but in the world of fashion influencers, she's one of our biggest success stories.

With 1.2 million followers on Instagram, the 34-year-old from Melbourne has built a global fan base for her sophisticated yet accessible style.

Somehow, the content creator manages to make jeans and a basic tank look like a million dollars — with a top from H&M and denim she snagged on The Iconic. It's a level of styling flair that's landed her collaborations with luxury brands like Louis Vuitton and scored her a seat at Paris Fashion Week.

Far from an oversharer, Stone prefers to keep the focus on her outfits, rather than the minutiae of her daily life. Her captions are brief, so when she does elaborate on the thinking behind her covetable looks, we take notes.

Earlier this year, the influencer shared a list of her 15 "most-loved" closet essentials, with a breakdown of the specific staple pieces she says she's forever reaching for.

"It's always the simple looks that are best," Stone noted in the caption.

The post provides a rare peek inside a fashion insider's capsule wardrobe, and we've got all the details (and where you can shop her faves) below.

Item 1: Black midi skirt.

A midi skirt is one of those year-round pieces you'll never regret buying. Stone has featured a black structured style from New York designer Proenza Schouler, but there are plenty of high street options with a similar vibe.

Item 2: Levi's dad jeans.

If there's one thing Stone is most known for, it's her collection of high-waisted jeans. Her iconic dark blue Levi's 'dad jeans' are a core pair, often styled up with elegant tops and cinched with a waist belt.

Item 3: Cream pants and a black low-cut singlet.

This particular outfit screams "old money" — something to do with the pairing of silky pants with a basic singlet (that H&M tank again!). It's another one of Stone's signature looks, and such an easy concept to recreate.

Item 4: Camel oversized blazer.

We don't need to tell you how significant oversized blazers are to the fashion community. The writer of this piece owns several in varying shades of tan and nude. Once you find your holy grail neutral blazer, you'll never have to work hard to polish up your 'fit.

Item 5: Straight-leg jeans.

When baggy jeans won't do, Stone defers to a pair of medium-blue straight-leg jeans from Australian label Viktoria & Woods — the Cobain high-waisted jean. With a straight fit and slight open flare at the ankle, it's the perfect upscale denim option. She also loves a similar style from A-Brand.

Item 6: Black coat.

As we head into the cooler months, you might be thinking about which coat or jacket to invest in. Trench? Bomber? Stone makes a very good case for a classic black overcoat from H&M — it literally goes with everything, especially blue denim.

Item 7: Striped shirt.

A collared shirt is another wardrobe staple for the content creator, who always sizes up for an effortless look. Stone designed this chic striped shirt with Swedish high street brand NA-KD.

Item 8: Oversized cream or white tee.

A boxy tee tucked into jeans or high-waisted pants is a failsafe look, and Stone likes to stick to a clean, neutral colour palette. Her fave cut is from The Frankie Shop.

Item 9: White oversized shirt.

White shirts are a no-brainer in any capsule wardrobe, but the influencer has a way of wearing them that she's made her own: super oversized, very undone (like, all the buttons) with the sleeves scrunched up.

Item 10: Wide-leg jeans and black bodysuit.

A bodysuit is a great option to get the look of a sleek tucked-in top, without the hassle of all the tucking and bunching. Just add your high-waisted denim of choice.

Item 11: Grey blazer and trousers.

Grey is a colour we'll see much more of heading into the new season, especially in suiting separates. This oversized set from one of Stone's favourite brands, The Frankie Shop, is all the inspo we need to add a grey blazer to our line-up.

Item 12: Cropped shirt

Phew, still with us?! Stone's 12th key piece is a cropped shirt, which she says is "good for tucking". If you're all over the oversized memo, consider a cropped cut for a more lightweight option.

Item 13: Wide-leg pants.

For "dressy looks", Stone says a wide-leg pant is one of her go-to pieces — and the proof is all over her feed. She often posts in loose-fit, flowy trousers in white or cream.

Item 14: White or cream blazer.

We know what you're thinking. Another blazer? But this isn't just any blazer. It's not your everyday black. A white or cream blazer is one of those pieces you pull out to really oomph up your outfit. Unexpected and just a bit risky, but definitely worth it for the fashion cred.

Item 15: Black wide-leg jeans.

We've arrived at the final piece of the puzzle. Black jeans can easily transition from casual daywear into sleek eveningwear, plus they're a great winter option to team with boots or sneakers. Stone loves her wide-leg Samsoe Samsoe "Shelly" jeans.
