In case you weren’t (yet) aware, the long-sleeved midi dress is set to be the look of the season, after Zara broke hearts with its $49.95 polka-dot midi-dress. It was so coveted by UK women that it spawned its own Instagram fan page, @hot4thespot, which documents public sightings of the dress. However, while a longer sleeve length is all well and good when your summer temps barely push 30 degrees during a heatwave, we’d rather a little more arm-aeration when our mercury is rising to 40 degrees and over.

As for your shoe-drobe? We’ve done some digging and are heavily inspired by these pastel pistachio sneakers worn by Dani of the Instagram account @luxeandlemonade. They’re also from Kmart, and will only set you back $15. Currently, the green colourway is available in-store only, but you can purchase the black, white, or pinky-beige alternative online.
