Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have hired a surrogate for baby number three.

North and Saint West had better make room because Kim and Kanye are getting ready for baby number three.

A source has confirmed to People Magazine that the pair, who have been married for three years, have hired a surrogate to help them welcome their next baby into the world.

It's no secret that Kim, 36, has been thinking about adding another child to the mix for a while. Nearly the whole current season of Keeping Up With The Kardashians has focused on Kim visiting various doctors to determine the health risks of carrying another baby.

Kim suffered from placenta accreta—a condition that affects 5 percent of women in which the placenta grows into the wall of the womb—during both of her pregnancies. She also experienced preeclampsia during her pregnancy with North.

On her personal website, Kim described the process of having her placenta removed after her North's arrival as "the most painful experience" of her life.

"My doctor had to stick his entire arm in me and detach the placenta with his hand, scraping it away from my uterus with his fingernails. How disgusting and painful!" she wrote.

"My mom was crying. She had never seen anything like this before. My delivery was fairly easy, but then going through that—it was the most painful experience of my life! They gave me a second epidural but we were racing against time, so I just had to deal."

Kim underwent surgery to remove the rest of the placenta, still attached to her womb, and another surgery to remove scar tissue. She was lucky to be able to fall pregnant a second time.

This year, Kim finally came to terms with the fact a third pregnancy would not be safe.

"I've come to the conclusion in my mind that I can't carry another one," she told mum Kris on their show. "So now I want to explore surrogacy."

While sister Kourtney and Khloe both offered to be Kim's surrogate, TMZ reports the couple will pay a surrogate—hired through an agency for an estimated AU$149,000—to carry their third child.

The website claims that Kim and Kanye has made a AU$91,000 deposit with the surrogacy agency. The woman who carries the child will be paid a further AU$59,000 in 10 equal installments.

More money is on offer if there are multiples or if the surrogate loses reproductive organs as a result of the pregnancy and birth.

The surrogate must also adhere to a strict set of rules, including refraining from smoking, drinking and using drugs during the pregnancy.

"She also agrees to restrict sexual activities in the weeks leading up to the pregnancy, including foregoing sexual intercourse for three weeks following embryo implantation," TMZ reports.

"The surrogate cannot go in hot tubs or saunas, cannot handle or change cat litter, apply hair dye, drink more than one caffeinated beverage per day or eat raw fish."

There's been no word yet as to when Baby Kardashian-West No. 3 will make their debut.
