Kim Kardashian has posted a nude pregnancy selfie to shut down the body haters.

Kim Kardashian has posed nude – but this time she has a statement to make and it is glorious.

It’s a Kim Kardashian selfie.

And it’s making news why? Well good question – they aren’t exactly rare pics are they?

But this time Kardashian has a greater goal than to just break the Internet (though it looks like she might do that too)  – she has addressed the increased speculation over her pregnant body.

Her 42 million Instagram followers were greeted when they swiped on with a naked Kardashian selfie and an accompanying post that takes the body shamers to task.

At six-months pregnant she has posted the images to put an end to the constant pregnancy targeting and the talk over whether her bump is too large/ too small/ too thin/ too fat/ too high/too/low or whether it exists at all.

The mega star has taken to Instagram to post her latest nude shot – this time with her baby bump proudly displayed.

She addressed the critics writing:

“First they say I’m too skinny so I have to be faking it…Now they say I’m too big so I have to be faking it…SMH! “

She went on addressing the wide spread rumours she is faking her pregnancy – which surfaced through tabloid speculation she was using a prosthetic belly and had a surrogate to carry her child.

Yes, people actually believed that.

Kardashian told her followers that she is simply pregnant and that means on different days she looks different.

“Some days I’m photographed before I eat & look smaller, some days I’ve just eaten & I look bigger. It’s all a part of the process. I think you all know me well enough to know I would document the process if I got a surrogate. “

34-year old Kardashian – who is six months pregnant with her second child has been criticized by social media users and gossip mags for the shape of her pregnant body – with cries of both too much weight gain – and too little weight gain.

She wrote:

“Everyone’s body is different, every pregnancy is very different! I’ve learned to love my body at every stage! I’m going to get even bigger & that’s beautiful too! I’m blessed to even be pregnant & even luckier to not have preeclampsia as far as I know, so I don’t have the swelling issue this time! They also say your body carries a boy different than a girl! Whatever the case may be I’m grateful to God for this miracle & no matter what rumors or comments you throw my way this time they truly don’t affect me!”

Her latest selfie was tagged #NoFilter #NoPhotoShop #GoodLighting.”

Kardashian – who as we know is open with her personal life, her pregnancy and her body spoke previously of her weight gain when she was pregnant with baby North, now aged two,.

She told Elle Magazine last December that she thought it was actually God’s way of punishing her.

“I’d think God was doing this for a reason,” she said. “He was saying: ‘Kim, you think you’re so hot, but look what I can do to you.’ … My body just went crazy. After five months I swore I’d never get pregnant again. I got so huge and it felt like someone had taken over my body.”

Love her or hate her there is no doubt that this powerful naked selfie is one way to helping  normalize the pregnant body, a form often used as fodder to shame women in the way they carry their baby bump, as “overweight” or “surprisingly small” rather than – well er, carrying a baby – each body in its own normal way.

Ironically the post came at the same time as tabloid headlines reading   “Kim Kardashian “fat and miserable” at Kylie Jenner’s Birthday Party.”

One ‘source’ allegedly ‘saying’ to media outlet Hollywood Life :

“Kim knew Kylie’s birthday was going to be a big night and all of her sister’s young hot skinny friends would be there in their sexy outfits. Kim had no intention of being the frumpy old pregnant woman at the party and picked out a dress that she thought was really sexy. Unfortunately, as the night wore on it just didn’t feel good and she ended up just feeling fat and miserable sitting next to all these skinny b****s.”

The Kardashian selfie has now shut down the nay-sayers, the critics and the trolls with no sign of a ‘frumpy old pregnant woman’ – instead a bold, beautiful pregnancy shot.

One thing you can say about the Kardashian-West empire is that only Kim controls her body and her image – and rightly so.
