In 2013, Khloé Kardashian filed for divorce from Lamar Odom. Now, they're reuniting.

Khloé Kardashian and Lamar Odom were a reality TV couple that went through some ups and downs, to say the least. From their whirlwind romance and sudden marriage to their eventual split, Odom and Kardashian's journey has been anything but ordinary.

But according to the recently released trailer for The Kardashians season 6, it looks like the two exes are set to reunite.

In the trailer, Kardashian is heard saying, "You guys are never going to guess who I met with".

Cut to: Odom entering the room with a bunch of roses. This will certainly be interesting. Or awkward.

Let's take a look back at their tumultuous relationship, right back to their wedding, which happened within months of the former couple meeting.

Khloé Kardashian and Lamar Odom meet and get married.

Kardashian and Odom's relationship began in August 2009 after they met at a party for NBA player Ron Artest.

Within just a few weeks, the couple were engaged to be married. In September 2009, Odom officially proposed to Kardashian — and of course, the moment was captured on camera for an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

Just nine days after their engagement, Kardashian and Odom got married at the home of family friend and music producer Irving Azoff.

"It was quick," Odom said of the wedding. "I guess that just added to the speculation — 'Why can't they wait...' I didn't want to wait."

Following their wedding, Kardashian and Odom went onto star in their own reality series, Khloé & Lamar, which gave fans an inside look at their life together and the early days of their marriage.

The show premiered on April 10, 2011, and ran for two seasons, with the finale airing on May 13, 2012.

Their divorce.

In 2013, amidst rumours that Odom was cheating on her, Kardashian filed for divorce. But 10 months later, Odom had yet to respond to Kardashian's divorce petition.

Two years later, in 2015, while dating NBA star James Harden, Kardashian was still finalising the divorce papers she'd filed nearly two years prior. However, during season 10 of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, she was seen secretly taking Odom's calls on camera.

In October that same year, Odom was found unconscious at a Nevada brothel and rushed to a Las Vegas hospital. Kardashian rushed to be by his side.

Although the divorce papers being signed earlier that summer, the couple were still legally married at the time, and Kardashian chose to withdraw the filing on October 20 in order to continue helping with his medical decisions.

"This is a very delicate and difficult time for both Lamar and Khloé, and the most sensible thing to do at such a time is not make any big moves and put everything on hold," a source told PEOPLE.

By May 2016, Kardashian had filed for divorce for a second time.

They wish each other well from afar.

After finalising their divorce in December 2016, Odom and Kardashian seemed to cut contact with one other, but continued to wish each other well from afar.

In October 2017, following Kardashian's pregnancy announcement with then-boyfriend, Tristan Thompson, Odom was asked on an episode of Complex's Everyday Struggle about his relationship with Kardashian — specifically, whether they were "still cool".

"I mean, from a distance," he said.

"I wish her well," he added. "Still got love for her."

Similarly, when Odom's book Darkness to Light achieved the number six spot on the New York Times Best Seller list in the Sports and Fitness category, he made an Instagram post and thanked Kardashian specifically.

A few hours later, Kardashian left an encouraging comment on the post.

"Look at God!!! Congratulations Lammy! Keep shining," she wrote.

Lamar Odom buys a Khloé Kardashian sex doll.

After not publicly being in contact, in November 2024, TMZ reported that Odom had purchased a life-sized sex doll that looked exactly like Kardashian.

During an episode of the We're Out of Time podcast, Odom justified the commissioning of the doll to look like his ex-wife as a tool for his "mental health".

"When you're really thinking about it, [it's] like a doll, but then you think about like, mental health, and how important that is, not just in today's time, but just from the beginning of time. A sex doll that looks like your wife is about mental health," Odom said.

He also confirmed that he and Kardashian were not in contact.

"She still cares about me. I don't speak to her [but] I can text her and she'll reply," he said.

Will the former couple discuss this on the upcoming season of The Kardashians? Only time will tell.
