'I've been a Jonas Brothers fan for years. It's finally time to admit the truth about Kevin.'

The Jonas Brothers are back in the zeitgeist, which is excellent news for me, a certified Jo Bro fan from way back in the golden Disney days. I mean, if you weren't screaming along to 'Burnin' Up' while wearing way too much eyeliner, were you even living?

They're currently on their massive tour, playing their back catalogue and newer hits, and bringing on so many special guests that my inner teenage self is screaming (Jesse McCartney! Mario! Demi Lovato!).

But the thing that tipped me over the edge and forced this moment of reckoning was the release of their highly anticipated festive flick, A Very Jonas Christmas Movie (which, for the record, was phenomenal).

With all the tour clips circulating on TikTok and the sheer, unadulterated festive cheer radiating from the film, I had a truly stunning revelation: Kevin Jonas is the best Jonas Brother.

I know, I know. For years, I was a die-hard Joe girl.

From his absolutely cringey Camp Rock dancing to his iconic, gravity-defying, wind-swept, side-swept bangs — I was obsessed. I had posters of him plastered on my wall. My best friend even had a Joe Jonas cushion. We were dedicated, competitive, and firmly planted on Team Joe. But, dear readers, the tide has changed. And it's in part thanks to one glorious, long-overdue moment of recognition.

Kevin Jonas can sing.

Yes, okay, technically he's sung before (we stan 'I Left My Heart in Scandinavia'), but let's be real, his vocal contributions were always minimal in the group.

Now? Things are changing. He's been performing his solo song on the tour, he finally got to use his voice properly in the Christmas movie, and he's just released his solo single, 'Changing.'

And let me tell you, it's such a banger. His voice is rich, warm, and hits this perfect spot that feels like a blend of Joe's pop edge and Nick's smooth tone. I truly can't believe they've been gatekeeping this talent from us all these years. It feels like a genuine pop crime.

The first time he performed this song live on stage in Boston, I felt overwhelmed with emotion. His wife, Danielle, was in the audience crying her eyes out — it was an undeniably beautiful, real moment. And it cemented everything I was feeling.

This is the man who is consistently overlooked by the public, sometimes even by his own brothers. They joke about it all the time — how much more popular Joe and Nick are. He's the underappreciated oldest sibling, the constant third wheel, and honestly, the sheer injustice of it all fuels my newfound allegiance to him.

Their documentary, Chasing Happiness, which should be required viewing for any sibling dynamic, truly confirmed the pain of Kevin's position. It revealed how, not only did the public seem to overlook Kevin, but sometimes, tragically, so did Joe and Nick.

In one seriously heartbreaking scene that lives rent-free in my mind to this day, they admit to leaving him out of a performance shortly after the band split, while they went on stage and performed Jonas Brothers songs at Jingle Bash.

"I think it's because we thought you were holding us back. That's the truth. I think there were moments that Nick and I wanted to do our own thing, and we felt like your focus was not in it anymore. It wasn't a priority for you and starting a family was," Joe said.

"Now, I think back on it, I realise how f**ked up it is. Going to take a Jonas Brothers gig and you weren't on stage. I love you. I'm sorry you had to go through that."

I thought it then, and I still think it now, but what a terrible, half-hearted apology for a massive betrayal. I honestly cannot imagine how heartbreaking that would've been, especially over songs that were equally his. But what does Kevin do? He still forgave them, committed to the reunion, and moved on with grace. He is a real one.

He's also, quite frankly, the most unproblematic and relatable one. While his younger brothers were dating models and dabbling in different phases of celebrity, Kevin kept it real.

He still lives in Jersey, close to where they're originally from. He married a non-celebrity woman, Danielle, way back in 2009 — I love them so much. The way this man looks at his wife.

He has two little girls who he clearly adores and whose privacy he fiercely protects. He just seems… normal.

A celebrity, sure, but he maintains a completely grounded existence outside the whirlwind of Hollywood drama. He is truly living his best, most wholesome, stable life, and I love that for him.

He's a talented, often-underrated guitarist. He's genuinely hilarious and self-deprecating (watch any interview, he's great at being the straight man). And now, finally, after years of being in the background, we've been made fully aware that he can sing too!

I love an underdog story more than anything in the world. And right now, that ultimate underdog, the one we all should be rooting for, is Kevin Jonas.
