Scandal star Kerry Washington has welcomed a baby boy.

Scandal actress Kerry Washington has welcomed her second baby with her husband Nnamdi Asomugha.

Their son Caleb Kelechi Asomugha was born on Wednesday, October 5, E! News reports.

"Kerry was so thrilled to be a mum of two," a source told People of the happy announcement.

Kerry and Nnamdi are already parents to two-year-old Isabelle Amarachi.

39-year-old Washington told Ellen DeGeneres in September that she and her husband had chosen not to find out the sex of their second child, instead joking, "we're hoping for a human".

The couple is famously private, marrying in a secret ceremony in Idaho in 2013.
