The moment Khloe Kardashian forced the cameras to stop filming.

The Kardashians are renowned for sharing every aspect of their lives with world in their reality TV show Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

We’ve seen breakups, makeups, weddings, arguments and various beauty treatments we’d probably rather not have.

But there was one moment in the latest episode of the 13th (yes, really!) season that wasn’t up for public viewing.

In fact, Khloe Kardashian explicitly told the crew to turn the cameras off.

The last two episodes have focussed on the aftermath of Kim's terrifying heist experience in Paris. Back at home, Khloe finds Kim crying in her bedroom after being reminded of the robbery.

She goes into her room, pushing the door almost closed behind her, effectively blocking the cameras from entering with her.

"That's going to happen, this is still so fresh in our family" she tells Kim.

"We go through things and kind of forget about them so quickly. We have to remind ourselves that no, this is trauma and we need to make sure we're all catering to you and help you through something."

After reassuring Kim that it doesn't matter if other people doubt her account of what happened because the family know the truth, Khloe can be heard telling the crew, "We need to stop. I just don't want everything on camera right now."

The camera stops.

In what is one of the most emotional scenes we've seen from the show, it's a humanising reminder that this isn't just a storyline but a terrifying ordeal that Kim was forced to endure - and continues to do so.

It was one of several times viewers were shown the after effects on Kim and her family.

Ahead of the episode's screening last week, Kim took to Instagram to share her reasons for showing these scenes.

"Tonight's episode is going to be very tough for me. However, I thought it was important to share this story through my eyes & not in an interview where my own words could be twisted," she wrote.

"I have always shared so much & I'm not going to hold back when this was probably one of the most life changing experiences for me. I would never wish this experience upon anyone, but have learned some valuable lessons & feel so blessed to be safe home with my babies and husband.

"To my friends, family, and loved ones I can't thank you enough for being there when I needed you the most. To the French police, thank you for your incredible hard work."
