Katy Perry shares the real story behind THAT X-rated photo with ex Orlando Bloom.

It’s hard to imagine a situation in which we’d ever find ourselves on the front of a paddleboard powered by a man wearing precisely zero clothes.

But that’s exactly where Katy Perry found herself last year when photos of Orlando Bloom’s ‘paddle’ on the then-couple’s Italian holiday became a Twitter sensation.

Turns out, there’s a fairly reasonable and not uncomfortable AT ALL explanation for the debacle. And it’s pretty darn relatable.

“I’ve had lots of therapy about that moment,” the Grammy winning singer jokes on KIIS FM’s Kyle and Jackie O Show on Wednesday morning.

“He asked me if I wanted to [be naked] and it was just one of those things where I was like ‘oh, nah’.”

Proving celebrities are just like the tiniest bit like us, Katy went on to talk about the pressure we all feel to do and try certain sexy things in the early stages of a new relationship.

“You know when you’re dating someone sometimes and it’s exciting, and you’re thinking should we try this…” she explained.

“I was just not in the mood, so I stayed with the clothes.”

For anyone in a new, shiny relationship, thinking about all the  ‘honeymoon’ phase things you should be doing, like say, exposing your nudie bits to the ocean elements, can be a bit too real.

But the real takeaway here, aside from it’s a great idea to keep your bathers on, is it’s 100 per cent fine to say ‘nah’ to anything in your relationship you’re not really comfortable with doing.

We’ve all been there Katy. Well, not quite, but we can relate.
