Katy Perry just shared her thoughts on Meghan Markle's wedding dress. And she wasn't kind.

Ah, the post-royal wedding hangover is pretty real, isn’t it?

The official wedding photographs are out. Spectators have all but packed up and gone home. Articles that aren’t about The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are starting to reappear in your feed.

But the one thing we still can’t get enough of is Meghan Markle’s wedding dress(es).

Many of us watched on in awe as the 36-year-old former Suits actress stepped out of her wedding car and onto the steps of St George’s Chapel in Windor, giving us our first glimpse of her highly speculated wedding dress.

The bride surprised everyone with her boat neck, long sleeve silk gown deigned by British designer Clare Waight Keller, who became the first female Artistic Director at the historic French fashion house Givenchy.

The British designer said the gown, which only five people knew about prior to the royal wedding, 'epitomised a timeless minimal elegance'. It couldn't have been further from the glitzy Hollywood glamour many were expecting from the actress turned royal.

Of course, some were quick to draw comparisons between Meghan's dress and the Alexander McQueen long sleeve lace gown her sister-in-law, The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton wore at her 2011 wedding.

One such comparison came from... Katy Perry?

The 33-year-old singer was asked by an Entertainment Tonight reporter to choose between Meghan and Kate's bridal looks. Because apparently this is a competition now.

"Kate, Kate, Kate won, Kate won!” the current American Idol judge said.

"I would have done one more fitting. I’m never not going to tell the truth! One more fitting, but I love you."

Sure, Katy is entitled to her opinion, just as we all were watching the royal wedding in our pyjamas on the weekend.

For what it's worth, we think Meghan's dress was completely her and represented everything the activist and humanitarian stands for.

Oh, and we're sure she's not too concerned about what anyone has to say about her wedding dress.

After all, she did just ride off into the sunset in a Jaguar wearing a custom Stella McCartney, with her husband by her side.
