The 29-year-old I Kissed A Girl And I Liked It singer has brand new hair. She’s dyed it a colour that can only truly be described as ‘slime green’. But she’s left her bangs a rich black. It’s got all the tousled, bed-hair goodness you’d expect from her, but we’ve gotta say we didn’t see this green hair coming.

Katy shared this picture with her 4.5 million followers with the caption:

“I’ve wanted to go slime green for a long time,” she said at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles’ 35th Anniversary Gala presented by Louis Vuitton. “It’s spring time and I think it’s time to freshen up my look.”

“I’m really excited about slime green, but I hope my hair doesn’t fall out,” she said. “I kind of cut my bangs in haste and now I want them gone.”
