Karl Stefanovic isn't happy that his kids are growing up.

TV host and doting dad Karl Stefanovic got a tad emotional today during his daughter’s last ever father-daughter primary school breakfast.

The 41-year-old Today Show co-host attended the event with his middle child, Ava, 11, who is in Year 6.

During the event, he shared a selfie of the pair on Facebook with the caption: “Last primary school father-daughter breakfast. Shot pre tissues.”

His Facebook followers were full of support, with Robert Yovanovic posting “What a lovable dad great to see father taking time out for there children well done Karl Stefanovic” and Marisa Zarra writing “You are a great dad Karl. All the best to your daughter on her happy journey.”

The father-daughter brekkie event is held once per year at Ava’s school, and back in 2014 he even left in the middle of a Today Show broadcast to be there with Ava.

Of course, it’s not the first time we’ve seen Karl’s softer side appear in relation to his kids.

Last November, he shared a father-son snap with his son Jackson ahead of his school formal.

It was posted to Instagram with the caption: ‘My little bloke not so little. Off to the school formal. Daddy crying.’

Karl and his wife Cassandra Thorburn are also proud parents of River, 7.
