Julie Goodwin is tired of the comments about her body. So she made a statement.

Julie Goodwin has three words she wants everyone to think of when they look at her: happy, healthy, grateful.

The Masterchef Australia winner has shared a statement addressing commentary about her body after being inundated with remarks about her recent weight loss.

It only takes one glance at the comments section to see dozens of people's judgements: She looks incredible. She doesn't look okay. She's too thin. She looks great.

Now, Julie's taken it upon herself to set the record straight.

"Thanks to all who have expressed concern about my health. I am well and I am within the healthy weight range," she wrote on Instagram.

"My doctor concurs."

She reminded those asking for weight loss advice that she's a TV cook, not a healthcare professional — that's who they should be turning to.

And for everyone who has something to say about her appearance? She has another message.

"For those who want to comment on the shape and condition of my body please, do it on your own page because I'm tired of reading it," she wrote.

"Please, can we find something more interesting to talk about. Can we please model kindness to our kids and grandkids and can we please leave this obsession with people's looks back in the 1980s. Peace and love."

Julie's experience highlights something many public figures face — the relentless commentary on their appearance. Every photo becomes fodder for analysis, every appearance dissected by strangers who feel entitled to share their opinions.

Instead, the focus should remain on Julie herself, who rose to fame through her cooking skills and warm personality on Masterchef in 2009.

The 54-year-old has been open about her mental health struggles over the years, including her battle with depression. She's spoken candidly about the pressures of fame and how they've affected her wellbeing.

And Julie's absolutely right. Someone's appearance shouldn't be the most interesting thing about them.

She's a celebrated chef, cookbook author, and mental health advocate who has built a career on bringing joy to people through food.

Her Instagram page is filled with delicious recipes, family moments and glimpses into her daily life. These are the things she wants to share, the conversations she wants to have.

Julie's message is ultimately about respect and boundaries. She's asking for what every person deserves — to be seen at more than face value.
