But at least he has a creative solution.
As any parent would know, potty-training is simply. The. Worst.
But actor Josh Duhamel and wife Fergie have found a unique way to educate their 18-month-old son, Axl, on the number ones and number twos.
During a recent airing of Live! with Kelly and Michael, the star of yet-to-be-released TV show Battle Creek talked about his hands-on teaching methods.
"I don't know if this is, like, bad parenting on my part, but we're like, 'Okay, I'm gonna go pee pee' and then he runs in there and he loves to watch," Josh said.
"He puts his hands right on the urinal and I’m like, ‘Don’t touch that…’ He loves to watch me pee!”
Josh, 42, told hosts Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan he and Fergie had bought Axl his own tot-sized potty.
"He crawls up on it and he [stands there] so he knows exactly what to do, but he doesn't pull the trigger," Josh said.
"And then you turn your head for one second and he's peeing on the carpet... But he's getting it. He's starting to get it."
Josh's new TV show, Battle Creek, is set to be released later this year.
