Poppy Honey, Daisy Boo, Petal Blossom and Buddy Bear… What name could they possibly pick next?
It’s no secret Jamie Oliver and his wife Jools have a penchant for unique double-barrel baby names, and news has just broken they’re about to add another to the list. Stepping out together at the London premiere of Eddie The Eagle overnight, both onlookers and paparazzi were surprised to see Jools’ unlikely red carpet accessory: A baby bump.
On the red carpet, her husband and celebrity chef Jamie Oliver spoke to The Mirror.
He said that five kids wasn’t quite what he had in mind when he first envisaged starting a family.
“I thought we’d have a couple of kids but that’s about it. Basically I do what I’m told but she’s an amazing family maker and I just go with it… I love kids. My family keep me honest, I have a weird job, a weird life, but my family keep me quite real.”
The 40-year-old says he and Jools, 41, really have no preference of gender. Telling the publication he was “always grateful for what I get”, Oliver explained that while he will be ecstatic with a healthy baby, with three girls and a boy he wouldn’t mind ‘balancing it out a bit’.
Watch a young Jaime Oliver discuss why he opened a restaurant to help poor, disadvantaged young people (post continues after video).
The news may come as a shock for Jamie’s fans, given he said after the birth of his now five-year-old son, Buddy Bear, that four children was “more than enough”. At one stage he even spoke of considering getting a vasectomy.
