71-year-old singer Joni Mitchell, has been found unconscious in her LA residence and rushed to hospital where she remains in Intensive care.
According to TMZ, paramedics arrived at the legendary folk musician’s home in Bel Air after they received a 911 call. It is understood that although the caller maintains that she was unconscious at the time, Mitchell was reportedly alert on the way to the hospital.
Her condition is being described as “quite serious.”

Mitchell, born Roberta Joan Anderson in 1943, has been described by Rolling Stone magazine as “one of the greatest songwriters ever” She is an eight-time Grammy award winner and perhaps best known for her song “Big Yellow Taxi” which has been covered numerous times over the years.
Mitchell’s most recent album of original music, “Shine,” was released in 2007 but sadly she gave up singing in 2010 after declaring that "six decades of heavy smoking have finally robbed me of my voice".
