Good looks only get you so far.
Jeremy Meeks, the guy whose hot mug shot was shared across the world, has been sentenced to two years in a Federal prison.
Apparently judges don’t care that you’re the “Sexy Mugshot Guy” or that you’ve caused an internet sensation with your icy blue eyes and cheekbones so sharp you could cut yourself.
A California federal judge has sentenced Meeks, a previously convicted felon, to prison for more than two years for gun possession.
Meek’s mugshot, taken after a June 2014 gang sweep, went viral when the Stockton Police Department posted it on its Facebook page – drawing more than 102,000 “likes” and more than 12,000 shares.
In light of his success, he was reportedly signed by modelling agencies for as much as $30,000 to $100,000 a month
But his modelling career will have to wait 27 months until he finishes his stint in jail and completes a 500-hour Bureau of Prisons Substance Abuse Treatment Program, prescribed by the judge.
More: Life in a women’s prison is not anything like TV.
This is Meek’s third time behind bars. In 2007 he was arrested in Washington in a sporting goods store, after trying to steal merchandise. When confronted by security guards he told them, “I’ll f*** you all up.” He then was pepper sprayed by the security staff. He was convicted of identify theft and resisting arrest, and served time in prison.
