The end of 2016 has seen a new power couple join the block, except not everyone is happy about it.

Singer Jennifer Lopez, 47, and rapper Drake, 30, have taken to Instagram to make the world known of what appears to be a new blooming romance. The duo shared a snap of themselves with their arms wrapped around each other on a couch on Wednesday, making their new relationship Instagram official.

With a picture worth a thousand words, they both chose not to caption the photo.

Eagle eyed fans, however, were quick to notice that Drake’s ex-girlfriend Rihanna, 28,  had unfollowed Lopez’s Instagram account over the Christmas holiday weekend.

The pair were first thought to be dating earlier in the month when Drake attended two of Lopez’s Las Vegas concerts back to back.  Last week the rapper also visited JLo at her Las Vegas residency in the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino twice in one week.

After one show, Lopez posted a photo with Drake, captioning the image with: “Look who rolled up to my show tonight to say hi!!,” before adding the hashtags #love him #jlovegas and #ALLIHAVE.”

Rihanna and Drake only recently ended their relationship.

A source told The Sun: “Jen and Drake have tried to keep their romance under wraps by suggesting they are just working together, but the truth is they are an item. They have been seeing each other for a number of weeks and her friends are saying she is already smitten.”

“The age gap doesn’t bother them. They have fun together and that’s all that matters. People in Rihanna’s circle are saying she is very unhappy about the whole thing,” they continued.

Rihanna also unfollowed Drake on Instagram in early October.
