11 years ago, Jennifer Lawrence predicted her future with freakish accuracy.

If you lived through the early 2010s then you'd remember how huge Jennifer Lawrence was.

She was the epitome of the cool girl. She liked pizza, she was clumsy, she laughed at herself, and she never took anything too seriously.

To put into context, think the level of popularity Jennifer Coolidge experienced last year, or Chrissy Teigen in 2019. Affectionately becoming known as J-Law, Jennifer Lawrence was a phenomenon.

From leading The Hunger Games movies to nabbing an Oscar for Silver Linings Playbook, Lawrence's career was on top of the world in 2013.

It was during this time she gave an interview to Barbara Walters, with the interviewer asked where Jennifer saw herself in 10 years.

“Not in LA," she replied. "In a house, on a big property, and maybe starting a family, everything’s calm. I have a minivan."

Jennifer Lawrence's prediction comes true.

Fast-forward those ten years to 2023 and Lawrence was back with a new movie – a comedy, no less – which meant she was finally doing press again. No Hard Feelings saw Lawrence in a comedic role, a stark departure from the many dramatic roles the actress has played in the past.

The Barbara Walters interview was brought up on a Good Morning America segment and the actor was left stunned by the accuracy of what she had wanted from life 10 years ago.

"I started a family. I have a Volvo, so close [to a minivan]," Lawrence joked with the host.

In fact, her vision for her future was freakishly accurate. At 32, Lawrence was married to Cooke Maroney, and the pair welcomed their first son, Cy, in 2022.

Who is Jennifer Lawrence's husband, Cooke Maroney?

Jennifer Lawrence's husband, Cooke Maroney, is a respected art gallery director who has made a name for himself in the New York City art scene.

Born in 1985 and raised in Vermont, Maroney studied art history at New York University before embarking on a career in the art world. He currently serves as the director-at-large of Gladstone 64, the Gladstone Gallery's Upper East Side location, where he represents notable artists such as Carroll Dunham, Richard Prince, and Anish Kapoor.

Maroney and Lawrence were introduced by a mutual friend in early 2018, and their relationship quickly blossomed. The couple got engaged in February 2019 and tied the knot in a lavish Rhode Island ceremony in October of the same year.

Known for keeping their relationship private, Maroney has been described as down-to-earth and supportive, with sources noting that he doesn't treat Lawrence like a celebrity. They live as a family in New York.

Does Jennifer Lawrence have kids?

She might be an Oscar-winning actress, but Jennifer Lawrence is also a mother.

She welcomed her first child, a son named Cy, in February 2022 with her husband, art gallerist Cooke Maroney. The couple chose the name Cy after the American painter Cy Twombly, who is one of Maroney's favorite artists.

Lawrence, known for her privacy, did not immediately announce her son's birth or name. Instead, she waited until September 2022, when she revealed the information in a Vogue interview.

In the candid conversation, Lawrence shared her experiences of new motherhood, describing how she felt her life had "started over" after Cy's birth. The actress has since been open about the joys and challenges of parenting, while still maintaining a level of privacy for her family.

Then, 11 years on from that original interview where she said she wanted kids and a van, Lawrence announced that she is expecting a second child.

On October 20, 2024, Vogue confirmed that the actress is pregnant writing, "Congratulations are in order for Jennifer Lawrence! The Oscar-winning actor will be welcoming her second child with art gallerist husband Cooke Maroney."

In an interview with the same publication just two years prior, Lawrence said, "It's so scary to talk about motherhood. Only because it's so different for everybody.

"If I say, 'It was amazing from the start,' some people will think, 'It wasn't amazing for me at first,' and feel bad."

She added, "My heart has stretched to a capacity that I didn't know about…I include my husband in that."

Where does Jennifer Lawrence live?

The actress does not live in LA anymore. In 2014, she bought a $7 million mansion in Beverly Hills, previously owned by Jessica Simpson, but as of 2023, she seems to mostly live in a home with her husband and son in New York.
