Jennifer Lawrence's new tattoo is the least rebellious ink in history.

A little ink between friends.

Jennifer Lawrence is so close to her Hunger Games co-star Liam Hemsworth and his family that they all decided to seal the friendship by getting inked together.

She decided upin the chemical symbol for water because, “I’m always going to need to be hydrated”.

That’s as good a reason as any.

Unfortunately for J.Law, her tattooist’s knowledge of the periodic table was a bit rusty (the chemical symbol for rust is Fe2O3, fyi), and she ended up with a slightly inaccurate inking.

“By the way, I know the ‘2’ is high, and in H20 the ‘2’ is supposed to be low,” she told HitFlix at Comic Con recently.

“I call this tattoo a watered-down rebellion because it’s not like a real tattoo” she said.

The tiny marking on her hand, on that squishy bit between thumb and forefinger, is a sort of brownish colour, so it blends into her skin.

Lawrence was apparently hanging with the Hemsworths when they all decided to get tatts, so she joined in.

Those crazy Hemsworths! I wonder what Chris Hemsworth got? A big Thor hammer? Where? Butt cheek? Left or right?

I digress.

“It’s the colour of a scar, all natural so it’s literally the most unrebellious tattoo that anybody could ever get,” Lawrence said.

She and Liam Hemsworth have filmed four Hunger Games films so they’ve obviously become tattoo-together close.

The final film, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part II, will be released late this year.
