FLUFF: Are diamond rings the same as teething rings in Kardashian land? Apparently.

1. Kim Kardashian’s ‘year in review’ Instagram post must be seen to be believed.

Because if you didn’t realise, Kim K got a baby AND a ginormous engagement ring in the year 2013.

Are diamond rings the same as teething rings in Kardashian land? Maybe.

In other Kardashian/West news, the pair have released a video to show just how much they really love each other. Check it.

2. Jennifer Lawrence isn’t just the most GIF-able person in Hollywood, she’s the most bankable, too.

Jennifer Lawrence has been named Hollywood’s most valuable movie star of 2013, according to a survey of US cinema owners.

Since 1932, the Quigley Publishing Company has asked US cinema owners to submit a list of ten film stars that they believe have earned them the most money over the year.

Lawrence’s first place position sort of makes sense when you consider that Silver Linings Playbook, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and American Hustle were all released last year.

Here’s the full list:

1. Jennifer Lawrence

2. Sandra Bullock

3. Bradley Cooper

4. Tom Hanks

5. Denzel Washington

6. Leonardo DiCaprio

7. Robert Downey Jr.

8. Hugh Jackman

9. Brad Pitt

10. Melissa McCarthy

3. Kaley Cuoco marries. And we want the dress.

Big Bang star Kaley Cuoco married her fiance Ryan Sweeting in a small ceremony in Southern California on New Year’s Eve. The couple had been dating for three months before Sweeting popped the question back in September.

Anyways, enough with the exposition. Here are the pretty pictures of Cuoco in her pink Vera Wang gown:

We’re just going to leave this here…

5. Oh no, Bar Refaeli. Not you, too!

So, there’s this thing called a Vampire Facial. It’s basically when people with more money than sense pay $1500 to have blood taken from their arms and injected into/smeared all over their face. It’s supposed to rejuvinate one’s complexion. We suspect it also makes one gag.

Kim Kardashian did it a while back, and now it appears that Israeli Victoria’s Secret model, Bar Refaeli, is in on the action:

6. Congratulations to Olivia Palermo and Johannes Huebl.

Olivia Palermo and her long-term boyfriend, Johannes Huebl, are engaged. Heubl popped the question on January 1st, and followed it up with this bizarre Instagram video which looks like Palermo might have used the special moment as an opportunity to get some footage for her showreel:

If you are – like some of the MM team this morning – wondering who the hell Olivia Palermo is, she was a castmember of reality TV show The City, a spinoff of The Hills, and New York City “It Girl”. Which, apparently, makes her super dooper famous, and worthy of the headlines her engagement is currently garnering.

Regardless of whether or not this woman is actually famous, engagements are always nice. So, congratulations to Olivia and Johannes!

James Avery and Will Smith

7. Fresh Prince of Bel Air star dies.

Actor James Avery, who played Uncle Phil in Will Smith’s sitcom, Fresh Prince of Bel Air, has died aged 65.

Avery, who had also provided voice work for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise and the 1990s animated Iron Man series, had recently undergone open heart surgery and reportedly died from complications relating to the operation.

His former co-star, Alfonso Ribeiro tweeted: I’m deeply saddened to say that James Avery has passed away. He was a second father to me. I will miss him greatly.”
