In the last few months, Jameela Jamil has certainly cemented herself as a champion of body positivity.
From launching an Instagram account called “I Weigh” to publicly wishing that celebrities who promote detox teas will “sh*t their pants in public”, The Good Place actress has proved she’s never afraid to speak her mind.
And this week, it’s no different.
In tweets earlier this week, the model and radio presenter claimed that airbrushing photographs should be made illegal.
Sharing photos of male and female actors over the age of 50, Jameela pointed out how Photoshop is “being weaponised against women”.
An example of Photoshop being weaponised against women: This is how we portray men in their 50s on magazine covers and women in their 50s. Look at the difference. Men who age are sexy in HD. Women mostly just shouldn’t dare age. Men can celebrate the inevitable, we must fear it. pic.twitter.com/XKykaZuiYf
